well all i can say is why dont you let him rest now, a beautiful young man doing a talented sport. i'd love to have seen him run once more in the competition but sadly it didnt come... now whos for a nice video of a journalist being executed......!
i have his real death video. "/watch?v=0Tq_kHX98_M" paste write youtube (.) com in your browser bar and paste this at the end to see what really happened and not just some pictures.
You really can't see anything to begin with other than him flying over the barrier...you can't see him hitting the steel post, so I don't see what all the fuse is about.
U asked a lot of questions... So I wanna ask u 1.... Why the he'll would u make a dumb ass video that only asks questions? U wasted a lot of peoples time
The world needs to see such footage because as we can see, the Olympic decision makers are now trying to say they could not have foreseen such an accident - I'm an office worker and I can see how metal posts next to the low sides of this track would present a clear hazard. We must not let them get away with such unaccountable behaviour!!!
Every one that has seen this tragity has learned that sports are very dangerous and you should take caution when diveing, running, skateing, bikeing etc, etc, etc. this pore mans death is helping people to understand DANGERS! RIP Nodar.
This is not an invasion of privacy this is a respect thing.. People don't watch his death and laugh at least i hope they don't... they watch this death to feel i donno sorry for him they watch his death to open their eyes on the death not invade someones privacy
i saw the real video its was pretty sad, and they should have asked the family if theey could show it first.i can imagaine how sad the family were when they found out.
dude the vidio was wiped out u cant find it anywere besides why would u want to see it anyway trust me my brother watch the actual crash on tv and he said it was horrific.
its on just about every channel when it comes to movies. not real....but to watch it in reality makes everyone squirm in there seats....stop turning blind eyes people...its on every corner in every city of the world....the harsh reality of some sports, is death
What can be learned? Compassion, caution, safety. Should all deaths be shown? Not if they're ghastly. Is it sensationalism? Some may view it this way, but so is asking the mother of a murdered child how she feels. I believe advertising before, during, or after such a video to be tasteless exploitation. That's MHO.
He knew the risks, knew he was on camera. It's not like anyone killed him on purpose. Why are we so afraid of death that we've made it taboo? Death is part of life, a part that should NOT be censored.
It shouldn't be played over and over again like a viral video and I think his family should have had the right to say if they wanted it pulled or played. Honestly, I wouldn't want to watch my loved one's moment of death replayed over and over again. NBC just aired it like stuff like that happens everyday. I think it was handled poorly and classlessly. I personally felt bad, but out of the human condition I wanted to see how it happened. We all do.
He knew the risk he was taking, and doing it on the biggest stage possible in front of cameras. On that note I think it should be aired with discretion and not 24/7.
i say its like any other fucking news watch it ! if u dont want to see turn the channel! death is what most of the news is. most newscasts have at least one body in it! and if it bleeds it leads isn't just a saying in the news industry. Its the law!
I think it should be shown. For ppl who respond to this vid and say it shouldn't, I dont get. They are looking it up on youtube and trying to watch it. So obviously they think it should be shown
No the footage should not be released, because yes it is VERY disrespectful. Not only to him, but his family as well. And I don't know how people can sit on here and talk shit about this poor guy saying "he's far more famous in death" what kind of BS is that? Have a little respect. Think if it was someone you knew.
@HotKukuro At the time he died he was ranked 44th out 65. For easy estimation lets say he came 44th in the Luge. He would have been forgoten as soon as he finshed. In death, especially one as public and contriversial as this one, shows that he will never be forgotten. He is far more famous in the death then he could have ever been in life. If you will get past your bleeding heart and examine the facts you will know i'm correct.
@CrapOnACrust So by that thinking you would rather died young and be famous than live a long and happy life and not be famous? Thats pretty sad and twisted man, but maybe you'll get your wish.
You can spend all day lookin at videos of accidents were people die or lose limbs, from car crashes caught on camera to shark attacks, even shootings. You can even watch terrorist videos of them beheading Nick Berg and others americans. I think a beheading video is a little more graphic than some guy that crashes and dies during a luge competition. I bet Nick Bergs family wishes the video would disappear, but you can't because anything on tv or internet is free and should be free to watch.
i say it should be shown, its reality why hide such things?? invasion of privacy ?? i dont think so?? when it happened is it invasion of privacy?? think again.
Well I think they should be watched, by the ridiculous people that think the set up of that track is in anyway safe? What about netting or something to avoid them shooting over the side into concrete pillars?? Surely even an idiot can see that its just not safe! It is just and accident waiting to happen, hopfully now it has (RIP Nodar) some much needed safety precautions will be taken!
i think we sould show it cause there r things we can learn from it like what could the have done to mack sure it did not happen and that is dose not happen again
Omfg!!!!!! Just realease footage! I have looked all over YouTube and not a single soul has been honest, the title is always "raw footage!" and "this is the real video" just put it up already!!!!!
no i don't think videos of people's death should be published, think how distressing it must be for the families! having to see their loved one like that, if it was me i would want to remember them how they were.
leave it to some dope smoking cheesehead canfukian to design such a abortion of a track, hey assclowns put the bong down, besides hockey your cuntry is a ambarassment.
"Watch his death" no, In the context of being with him in his time of trouble and learning from it and making things so it dont happen again, thats what I would want. remember him
A chain link fence 4 feet high away from the beams with cables lenth ways pulled tight... he would have glanced off that and back on to the course without stopping so sudden, sorry for his family.. we must learn from this
the media is what it is and we just all have to accept it. but i think they should at least try to get the families consent. as for the pillars being there, big mistake. not even padding would help much for someone traveling at around 100kmh. they should have just left it completely open or sealed it completely off.
all the music and cool graphics show respect to the deceased , this isn't cool. no person deserves to have the death watched internationally by millions of people. this is just too devastating to even consider. shame on you!
all the music and cool graphics show respect to the deceased , this isn't cool. no person deserves to have the death watched internationally by millions of people. this is just too devastating to even consider. shame on you!
Experts determined the wall wasen't high enough at the 50-50 turn all the way to the finish line. Nodar didn't have a chance @ 93mph! Showing the death video is OK with me because people should see what happened and the video clearly shows Nodars terror seconds before he is killed. What upsets me most however! is the HUGE profit NBC, AND others made from this video. I wonder if the family was even compansated for the death of their child. The greedy media made their profit! Damn them all!
I saw the video on the air and couldn't believe they showed it I normally don't get disturbed by "graphic content" but something about seeing this was just unsettling It definitely conveys a human emotion that is not readily expressed in todays society but it is probably better that way I express condolences towards the athlete's family and this video should be avoided in respect of them and not made into a spectacle which takes away from what this really is and makes it into something inhuman
Just another fucking retard whos unemployed, no life and wants attn from being old and stupid. Asswipe needs attn so he posts a terrible loss. Living at home and in the basement is no way to go through life pinhead.
These kinds of videos are important to have available so that we can show the severity of the sport. Example. Your son "Little Timmy" comes to you and says he can't decide whether to play football or luge, so to educate you show some videos of football injuries like Kevin Garrett that damn near got paralyzed and could have died from swelling, football is dangerous. Timmy needs to see the nodar vid so he knows how dangerous the luge can be.
I believe that If I want to look up anything, I should be able to. I hate that we live in a supposed free country and yet everything is censored. I realize that some people can't handle the truth. I don't want to coddled through life.
If you don't want to see anything bad.... don't look. If you do.... It should be available.. This is basic human rights if you ask me...
I do think that accidents, as part of "the business", should be broadcasted. It helps show people what REALLY happened. I think this is an important quality of a responsible society. If something stupid like this happens, people should know about it the way it was!
The other day my girlfriend came up to me and told me how shocked she was about the trainer's death in Orlando Seaworld, like "imagine all that blood in the pool"... Well, there was no blood! - So show people the reality.
typical modern culture, cant face facts that fuckers die, we should all be able to see this, whos to say what u can see n what u cant, fucker wants to go a hundo on a sled down a ice shoot u might pay the ultimate price, its what he luved to do, trajic n funny.
whats funny you idiot? watching people die is not funny. what you just said now is total supidity and god won't forgive for that you will be burnt in hell for saying this
i think it shouldent be released becouse its an invasion of his privecy, its like having a video of you dying that every one can whatch, i think its disrespectful.
whats the big deal on the video being shown. You turn Tru TV or Court TV on and they show mother fuckers gettin shot the fuck up and dying all day, this is the fuckin internet, no censoring. It's like Youtube not showing naked chicks dancing but it will show a bitch flopping a titty out to breast feed on a video. You dont think there are sick fucks out there beatin off to that shit right now, read the fucking comments on those videos. CONSISTANT CENSORING, or we could just see the fucking video.
Ooooooo look at me, I'm sledding...Weeeee!!! Oh SHIT...Ice, sled, Ice, sky, POLE...BOING!! Get over it people! This guy knew the risks of the "sport" (not really a sport) he was involved in and paid the ultimate price! GOD rest his soul & bless his family!
It's Better not to show his death Video, I am sure some people will feel bad about him, but there are also lots of people who are waitin' for criticize his hard-work which turn to horrible for him, and they will make fun of him.... Rest In Peace..Nodar Kumaritashivili.
@ManOnTheStreetTV padding wouldnt have made any diffrance at the extreme speeds he was traveling. either way once he left the track he was dead and pretty much had no chance. the only thing that could have prevented this was a higher wall on that turn in the track. remove that shelter and replace it with a higher wall and they would be fine.
We show tons of death videos on tv all of the time. We show soldiers in iraq shooting people. We showed videos of 9/11 for 24 fucking hours straight (worst day to have tv on) on damn near every channel. People die everyday and it was very tragic for the kid to die at young age.
I saw the video...it appears that the opposite wall was too short. When he came out of the turn there should have been a take up side, on the opposite wall, and it wasn't there! That's why he flipped. Also...The curve in the opposite wall was too sharp, too abrupt. They all think that he would come out flat...uh-uh...
I don't get y people just show us the video and not pictures of it. I would praise the person that isn't actuly a pussy for putting someone dieing on YouTube
@mattsetonend i completely agree with you... maybe if they had foam pits or somethin =( not good that this man died because of the design of the track
omg you guys are crazy talking about him when hes dead. be respectful of the kid. he was an amazing luger. It was a tragic death and noone needs to make fun of him at all.
Yes, VERY TRAGIC! I feel SO HORRIBLE for that man and his family. I went on a water slide once and almost fell off the high side and it scared the hell out of me. I couldn't even imagine how this man must have felt going down a lightening-fast ice slide! I think it should be shown to show us the dangers these athletes face. All these winter olympic sports have the potential to be fatal.
fastest one in the world. doesnt make it shitty. pple say its the track. but investigation and IOC even the georigian government. came to a final conclusion that it was Nodars fault which resulted in his death. the track had no flaws.. do u blame ur bike if you fell off and got hurt? maybe if the bike broke, then yes.. otherwise no reason.
Damn, Do you all like seeing people die and shit!? Wow. Obviously you all don't care that this kid is dead, all you care about is seeing his blood all over the place, and staring at him dying. Get a life, and savor yours right, because who knows this could happen to you.
I think that's exactly the reason why a video like this should not be censorred. For most people it will be that extra reminder of how swiftly a life can be snuffed out, without having to look for the edge themselves. It reminds people who think about luging themselves, or any sports (you all know the vids!) that there is a real danger. It's impossible to make a 100% safe world; so even while trying our best we will always have to be aware tradgedies can and will happen.
And finally; there will always be the 'sick and disturbed' only watching the vid for kicks, flaming and trolling their hearts out at the comments... It's better for your health and blood pressure if you make it a point just to ignore those people... ;)
Seeing it is important as it hits home reality of dangerous sports. Reality should not be censored out. He literally died for his sport (in my opinion something not worth dying for) and shock tactics can help bring awareness to the dangers and if people still insist on doing them then a greater pressure for safety will be created out the horrors of this man's death. It is just so tragic.
your video is called "Nodar Kumaritashvili Death Video Winter Olympics Luge + Commentary" not "pussy talks about if it is ethically right to show the death video"
fucking show what your title says you fucking shithead!
I'd also hope they'd leave the poor family, friends, and loved ones alone and show some respect by not forcing them to view it over & over again until they're scared to turn on the TV or even go to the store for fear of tragic pix pasted for them to see. But I know that's hoping for too much.
Thinking about it, I change my answer. I still think the risks need to be emphasized, but using any kind of common sense or decency in the media simply wouldn't happen, at least not for long.
I don't keep up with sports on live TV, and I don't know much of anything about this, so I don't have any real feelings for the question at all.
My THOUGHT is that showing death highlights the risks all athletes take, something that I think should be appreciated (and serve as a warning for others getting into the sport), so yeah, showing it sounds good.
OTOH, the media is so sensationalistic & emotion-jerking that I can't stand it, just 1 reason why I avoid TV as much as possible.
i think nodar would want to be remembered as a good luge athlete rather than someone misunderstood and crashed doing his passion, that's what i dont like about these videos being everywhere, let the guy RIP for his sake
Dont worry about the dead, worry about the living. your squabbles are misplaced and your priorities are obviously idealistic blubber. He will roast in hell for his sins. So will you.
yeah...if there was a hell...there is a hole in the ground with bodies in them....science has theories that actually make sense and can be proven rather than some guy high on hallucinagens writhing a bible
Bad engineering design of the track at that area. Physics and the laws of gravity clearly state that guided propulsion by gravitional pull shall be controlled by use of a arc. In otherwords, the track SHOULD have been concave leading up into that wall, not a 90* angle from track into the wall.
well all i can say is why dont you let him rest now, a beautiful young man doing a talented sport. i'd love to have seen him run once more in the competition but sadly it didnt come... now whos for a nice video of a journalist being executed......!

- So show people the reality.

whats the big deal on the video being shown. CONSISTANT CENSORING, or we could just see the fucking video.

zaung012 1 year ago
@ManOnTheStreetTV padding wouldnt have made any diffrance at the extreme speeds he was traveling. either way once he left the track he was dead and pretty much had no chance. the only thing that could have prevented this was a higher wall on that turn in the track. remove that shelter and replace it with a higher wall and they would be fine.
UglyJoe2007 1 year ago
That was stupid.

We show tons of death videos on tv all of the time. We show soldiers in iraq shooting people. We showed videos of 9/11 for 24 fucking hours straight (worst day to have tv on) on damn near every channel. People die everyday and it was very tragic for the kid to die at young age.
droopyman122 1 year ago
I saw the video...it appears that the opposite wall was too short. When he came out of the turn there should have been a take up side, on the opposite wall, and it wasn't there! That's why he flipped. Also...The curve in the opposite wall was too sharp, too abrupt. They all think that he would come out flat...uh-uh...

MiiZzSAlViibAbii03 1 year ago
Yes, VERY TRAGIC! I feel SO HORRIBLE for that man and his family. I went on a water slide once and almost fell off the high side and it scared the hell out of me. I couldn't even imagine how this man must have felt going down a lightening-fast ice slide! I think it should be shown to show us the dangers these athletes face. All these winter olympic sports have the potential to be fatal.

sfknight09 1 year ago
@sfknight09
fastest one in the world. doesnt make it shitty. pple say its the track. but investigation and IOC even the georigian government. came to a final conclusion that it was Nodars fault which resulted in his death. the track had no flaws.. do u blame ur bike if you fell off and got hurt? maybe if the bike broke, then yes.. otherwise no reason.
capdasejb 1 year ago
Damn, Do you all like seeing people die and shit!? Wow. Obviously you all don't care that this kid is dead, all you care about is seeing his blood all over the place, and staring at him dying. Get a life, and savor yours right, because who knows this could happen to you.
btrflygirl14 1 year ago
@btrflygirl14
dont think so... i dont do luge...
gtjup 1 year ago
@btrflygirl14
Rowel81 1 year ago
@btrflygirl14
Continue rant:
This kid chose to take the spotlight and I'm very sorry for him it had to end this way.
Conclusion: ;)
Give people the option of watching the vid.
You don't like stuff like this? No problem, just don't click the link.
Children can be kept away from the vid by simple age checking that already happens for a lot of vids.
Rowel81 1 year ago
@Rowel81 I don't think I could have said it better myself.

manuel45001 1 year ago
Seeing it is important as it hits home reality of dangerous sports. Reality should not be censored out. He literally died for his sport (in my opinion something not worth dying for) and shock tactics can help bring awareness to the dangers and if people still insist on doing them then a greater pressure for safety will be created out the horrors of this man's death. It is just so tragic.

JaneCochran 1 year ago
I don't keep up with sports on live TV, and I don't know much of anything about this, so I don't have any real feelings for the question at all.
My THOUGHT is that showing death highlights the risks all athletes take, something that I think should be appreciated (and serve as a warning for others getting into the sport), so yeah, showing it sounds good.
OTOH, the media is so sensationalistic & emotion-jerking that I can't stand it, just 1 reason why I avoid TV as much as possible.

Bad engineering design of the track at that area. Physics and the laws of gravity clearly state that guided propulsion by gravitional pull shall be controlled by use of a arc. In otherwords, the track SHOULD have been concave leading up into that wall, not a 90* angle from track into the wall.
Piss poor engineering.
