  • It works great ....best product for picking up hair that I have ever used .It even picks up pet dander......way to go 3M. I am afraid Karl doesn't know what he is talking about.

  • they have a different one for cars...when u called they probably thought you were talking about that one

  • Is that carpet your using it on. You should use it on upholstery only.

  • I love mine, but I use it on Polartec and it works better than duct tape!

(it's reusable even though they say it's disposable, the fur lifts right off to reuse)

I didn't try it on my car--but does anything really work well there?

  • Thanks Karl. You saved me some money and some disappointment.

  • that is why they have the one for vehicles.... and then the one for your home.....

  • Well, in all honesty, you should have tried more than one surface.

To me "Use it in your car" means the fabric of the seats. Perhaps you didn't specify you wanted it for a rug. Rugs generally need vacuum cleaners.

  • this works like a charm - your vid is wrong

  • I dont think this is a fair comparison. Most people have issues with their furniture. Now that I see you used it on car carpeting, I cannot say this video compels me not to give it a try. I wish you would have used a more traditional use, like living room furniture.

  • I couldn't disagree with you more. I've had such fabulous luck with this with cat fur on furniture - where cat fur has been stuck forever. People: if you have cats or dogs TRY THIS!

  • Karl, Karl, Karl - you are using it on "carpet" - and not even good carpet at that! - everyone knows that you can't get ANYTHING off of that stuff - christmas tree needles, pet hair, or human hair - the "carpet" that is in the back hatches and trunks of cars is notorious for that. HOWEVER, if you use this on upholstry in your home - it works PERFECTLY! - Hey, Thanks for the laugh - better read the lables and use common sense next time.

  • "everyone knows that you can't get ANYTHING off of that stuff" - apparently not the customer service representative at 3m that I spoke with about the product. They assured me up, down, left and right that this was THE product that could do anything. As far as using it on anything else...a DAMP RAG WORKS BETTER! LOL!!! I love it that people support expensive crap like this that is made to be a "better way" to do something. LOL, but thanks for the comment - I appreciate it.

  • its not a stupid idiot pad, its a stupid idiot user. maybe you should try the one made for car interiors? you know, the one with a picture of A DOG IN A CAR on the front? look at the picture on the box you have, it shows a person using it on a couch ... stupid idiot user.

  • LOL! When this video was made, there was only ONE type of "Fur Fighter" available. They claimed it was the best thing in the world and it took someone like me to call them on it. Now they have another "version" available. hmmmmm???

  • whoever told you that that works on a car is an idiot. and that's not upholstery.. that's basically fiberglass you're trying to remove hair from.

  • you know they make a seperate one for cars...

  • If they do its probably because this one didn't work for cars even though they said it did. Regardless, those cheap masking tape lint rollers do a better job removing pet hair from ANYTHING, so this crap is still a waste.

  • Hey Karl! Nice blog going over on karlskards :) i really enjoyed the ebay pieces!

I wanted to say YIKES! I am so flabbergasted by the response you had with the fur fighter. I saw unbelievable results with the product. I was the hand model in the spot and could not get over how easy it was to use during filming...i took one home and tried it out at my mom's who's chairs are covered in cat hair and found it to work GREAT. I wonder if it is the diff in fabrics?? ..hmmm...

  • Thanks for checking out my blog. I'm not discounting the fact that this item might be great at pulling hair from home upholstery, rather just bummed that it didn't do a darn thing on the car fabric...not a thing.

I did try this on my furniture, but found it no better than those giant-masking-tape-lint-rollers you get from the dollar store.

Great concept of a product...just not good enough for what the claims are.

    Thanks again!

  • Not to be rude, but perhaps if you actually tried it on CARPET it would do it's job. What your trying to clean, is not carpet. It's the same stuff that lines your trunk. Not thick, not plush, etc etc.

I don't own one yet, but will be trying it out. It looks to be made for FURNITURE as the commercial shows. Should work on most fabrics and carpet. So, don't bash a product because it doesn't work on the surface you are trying it on. Especially the surface in your vid.

    Should be ashamed!

  • Thats the funny part...As I mentioned in the video, I even CALLED 3M and specifically and asked them if the product would work on the surface I was planning to use it on. The customer assistance representative on the phone assured me that it would...and it didn't - End of Story

  • I am not sure if this works (as I don't have a pet myself [due to parental allergies]): but I think I've heard that using a rubber dishwashing glove (the thicker yellowish ones) are suppose to be able to help with the hair. you just put it on, and then "roll" the hair into a "pile" that you can pick up.

  • Thanks for the tip Karl! Looks like you can charge 3M for a new car seat! I'd like to see the results of your phone call.

  • ahahah

  • You should be on watchdog! great video :0)

  • Karl you are a trooper who is doing a service to society!

  • LMAO...nice Karl....it's crap

  • You tell em KaRL!

  • I've even gone to a few review sites about this crap and posted my video - this thing BLOWS!!!

  • hahahahahahahaha haha

  • mabey if u put some mucle into it karl! jk lol

  • stuioed idiot pad! karl is ranting on house appliance things lol

  • Because this thing ABSOLUTELY SUCKS!!! Go make sure that everyone you know does NOT buy this thing. They'll thank you for saving them the money! :)

  • lmaoooo
