  • U2

  • I really wish Ignite beat U2 to creating this song....this version rules the world.

  • more views than paramore. Take that, stupid ginger.

  • If im honest i listened it to in hospital just a few days after back operation (: helped me through different times, i cant understand how i'm understanding alot just right now

  • ''Tonight we can be as one'' I love that part (:

  • This amazing song doesn't deserves uninspired covers like this....

  • Bloody sunday!!!!!

  • I think evergreen terraces' version better but ignite is still better than u2 haha

  • I love both too, now i'm tired of the other version, now, let's listen this one.

  • I also think Evergreen Terrace did this song justice as well. I really don't like U2 at all, but I love every version of this song I've ever heard.

  • ok, ok, ive seed a Pillar, and parasomehow, U2 and now this, mazing song i see, evrebody wan him XD

  • i thing the pillar version is the better

  • I'm so confused... a "punk" band who thinks U2 are acceptable enough to cover...

  • @explodingpuppy Depends on the song really. Sunday Bloody Sunday lyricaly is a perfect song for a punkband to cover, as how I see it.

  • by far my favourite cover,

  • I remember commenting on this very song about 1-1.5 year ago, saying that I did not really like the drums, but loved the rest better then the original. Now that I'm into punk (From Sex Pistols / Minor Threat to bands like Bad Religion, Descendents, Ignite, Rise Against etc.) I love the drums so much. Makes me want to go jump around like crazy. I actually bought the album about a week ago now ;)

  • @TheDancingForRain Ignite and Rise Against? That doesn't fit well. You know, that Teglas played as a guest at the band Hungarica? He is one kind of Nazi, we have to fight here in Middle and Eastern Europe.

  • @Horacte I don't see what you're aiming at here.

  • @TheDancingForRain Ignite and Rise Against, thats like fire and water, like right and left.

  • @Horacte Last Of The Believers, I don't think you know this band. It was made up of half of Ignite and half of Rise Against. Then some other stuff, like Zloti and Tim being good friends. They've actually performed together on for example Groezrock and Rise Against's DVD 'Another Station Another Mile'. And at last, they share some of their believes. Just check out their lyrics, to give an example: enviromental concerns. So again, what's your point?

PS: Notice the other bands I mentioned first.

  • @TheDancingForRain Then I wonder how nationalist and antisemitic people share interests with progressive ones.

  • @Horacte They don't, but I don't see Ignite as nationalist and antisemitics. Ignite to mee seems progressive. On a side note, I don't give a shit about politics. But let me compare two songs, to show you what I mean: Rise Against - Blood Red White & Blue: "would God bless a murder of the innocents? would God bless a war based on pride? would God bless a money-hungry government? no." Ignite - Bleeding "Tell the truth If you've got something to say No blood for oil, killing fields
  • @Horacte

    "Halliburton money

    Wounded troops left to rot

    No help from the VA

    These troubled times

    Bringing on our darkest days"

As I understand this, both are against war for no real reason, a purposeless war. Later even, Rise Against mentions "God.. Bless America!" And a interview on Another Station, Another Mile backs up, they love America, but dislike the system. Progressive, but also nationalistic. Then again, let's quit this convo and enjoy the music? That's what it's all about in the end.

  • @TheDancingForRain "War for no real reason". But the extermination of the jews is a real reason or how can I understand this? I say, fuck that nazi scum.

  • @Horacte Why is he a nazi..? Give me some link or something to prove your point, cuz I think it's bullshit.

  • @Horacte Dude what are you talking about? I listen to both Ignite and Rise Against and I don't really see how they don't match up with each other. They even have performed live together, check it out. /watch?v=1khS9X78dWU

  • @JulesVermeij After I saw the interview, where Zoli excuses himself for supporting the hungarian nazis, it's okay.

  • @JulesVermeij and they both are the best hardcore punk bands nowadays

  • Anyway, forget to recommend Sunday Bloody Sunday "Pillar" version. Ignite version is very good, energetic feel. But I prefer Pillar version as it preserves the dark melancholy feel of the original.

  • What a great song. It really encapsulates the frustration of a Sunday, doesn't it? You wake up in the morning, you've got to read all the Sunday papers, the kids are running round, you've got to mow the lawn, wash the car, and you think "Sunday, bloody Sunday!".

  • @Durbot999 I hope you are joking, cause it's not what the song is about at all

  • @OneLessToGo Its a quote from Alan Partridge a BBC Comedy. Its whilst hes talking to rep from an Irish TV channle and trying to relate to them... As you may realize it doesnt work out in his favour.

  • @BE1NGWR0NG194 Ok, yeah it clearly makes more sens now

  • @Durbot999 that is what you think the song is about? no no no, my friend. the song is in honour of the deaths that occured on the irish bloody sunday in which british soldiers fired into a protest group of unarmed civilians, killed 14, and got off free from it because the judge was a total jerk. the families only got justice decades later. a bit more than the average sunday...

  • @nomadic725 Reading your kind explanation to the clueless one, it made me reminisce to the day U2 rised up to fame. They had a lot of bitter sweet memories about their motherland. I still remember those good old days as a young kid listening to U2 debut album from the radio.

  • @Durbot999 lol perfect.

  • I love the U2 version, but this is much, much better

  • this mofo rocks i am a hardened u2 fan im posting on fb

  • Personally like the orignal. It has more feel to it.

I don't like the fast past of this one, but great verson anyways, like how they made it their own.

  • both versions are incredible but comes down to who wrote the lyrics and original song so i like the u2 one

  • Hey there!

To be honest, I don't care about what is better. I love both versions. ;-)

  • im a long time U2 fan and dig Hardcore Punk Rock as well...

This version is great and for me the best cover version of this timeless

U2 classic unlike those other lame ass versions!!! But for me, covers are just covers.. still nothin beats the original...

  • cool, actually better than u2, better than paramore`s bullshit, this went amazing on the drums and shit

  • Oh yeah... definitely better than U2...

  • They just raped the U2 version, simply amazing

  • yeah!cool version!

  • A version very powerful.

  • Very awesome.

  • F***ing great!!!

  • I love this song ! ♥

  • Tbh i think they've ruined the song :(

  • @TheKillersOwn completely agree with you

  • @CHRISTIAN6182 then ur a legend :D

  • @TheKillersOwn your comments just get better and better :O!

  • @CHRISTIAN6182 lolcakes :P

  • Love the original the best, but definitely a great cover!

  • there have been too many Bloody Sundays

  • this song ruined my day.... Headtaches on a sunday are just with U2´s Bloody Sunday less painfull...

  • ignite FTW!!! i always loved u2 until bono started to be a better ghandi... that really sucks... this version is def better!

  • Pillar's cover better. I think. But this isn't bad .

  • U2 sucks.

    Ignite rules.

  • You know, im pretty sure in the description, It would be "a u2 cover" because "U" is pronounced "you" and y is the first letter and first sound.

  • everybody who's hate'n on U2. Guess what, this is a cover right? so that means they're paying tribute to the song and the guy's who wrote it. both versions are great, and both of them have the soulful lyrics about the day 13 Irish men and women were killed by British paratroopers at a civil rights protest in Derry, Ireland. It's a great song, and they're both great bands

  • @failguy1 I'm not a U2 fan in the least, but I have always liked this song. I can't disagree with you on that.

  • what cover is this from?

  • @wallmeroder seriously?

  • This version is better, if you don't like it watch the lame ass U2 one.

  • queeeeeeeeeeeee temasooooo por diossss

  • This as bad as those fast forward songs on the radio

  • Wow, I rly did not know what to expect of that when I first saw it, but in my ears this is a really great cover, a bit more powerful then the original but not less great.

  • i like better U2 version

  • i love this version but U2 sucks!!! xD

  • love this cover, would def love to hear a metal/hardcore cover though

  • for me too...

  • the best cover is from evergreen terrace god damn

  • This actually does sound pretty similar to some of Rise Against's older stuff, like Revolution Per Minute.

  • Is there a vid of zoli with pennywise?

  • • You say Justin Bieber I say disturbed

You say Miley Cyrus I say skillet

You say T-Pain I say ffdp

You say Kanye I say breaking benjamen

You say Pink I say shinedown

    • You say Hip Hop i say shut the frick up

You say Pop I scream Rock!

You say hanah montana-i shoot you in the face

92% of teenagers have turned to Hip Hop and Pop.If you are part of the 8% that still listen to real music, copy and paste this message to another 5 videos.DONTLET THE SPIRIT OF ROCK DIE!

  • @MasterPepto i disagree with Skillet, Rise Against.......

  • in order to have an awesome cover, you have to start with an awesome song.

then stir in a good band with the imagination to do it there own way. Bravo. Now, If I could just find it on itunes....

  • the fast drums are a little part of shit, but the guitar and the singer are good^^

  • Pillar has the best version(in my opinion :)

  • this is fucking awesome

  • this version SUCKS! how can you think this is better than u2? U2 wrote it with meaning! these dumbasses just added dumbass lame effects to make it sound "cool" this version sucks entirely! they RUINED the song and the meaning!

  • @deutschlandman99 go suck bonos dick you ffucking cocksucker lol lolol oololol

  • @deutschlandman99 So what is your point? You just describe exactly what a covered song is! U2 is just not suitable for everybody, way too soft.

I like this version, really one of my favorite (covered) Ignite songs!

  • really good !

  • I don't even like U2, but they did an amazing cover.

  • wow amazing good

  • best cover ive ever herd its amazing i cant belive it they couldnt have found a better song to do a cover for and it relates to their other song "let it burn"!ignite rocks!!!!!;)

by th way zoli teglas( the lead signer) is now on the band pennywise!!!!!!!i love both bands i always have

  • tha t´s really better than U2 version

  • good cover but i wish he'd lay off the drums a bit though haha

  • HURRICANE 2010!!!

Such a shame The Prodigy and Ignite will be playing at the same time.

Guess I won't be hearing Prodigy this time.

  • Southside 2010 !!!

  • u2 are the best!! they are history... and personally i feel many more things when i hear this song by u2!!1

  • It's a great cover (I say this as a U2 fan) although I would have liked it better without the annoying drums.

  • Nothing to say... else than amazingly well done cover :)

  • Weltklasse!

  • very good

  • somm style

  • its different.

  • I think the voices of young bono and zoli sound quite similar in this one

    it's great

  • @inayeah not really, zoli doesn't have the power in his voice that bono had when he was young, but not many people have that =P. he does sing very well though.

  • eza rola sta de 10 eee barrio

  • nice done guys, good song!

  • Zoli is the Hungarian Bono. I hope everybody understand.

  • essa versão foi a melhor parabens...... love ignite

  • Not bad,

but ORIGINAL is better (U2) ;D

  • Pillar's version is better but I love it!

    Hungary

  • I like ignites version better then pillar,I think this is much more fast past, but the beginning of pillar version is bad ass with the drums

  • Soul singin' Zoli

  • Not bad, still has nothing on the original...Then again its still miles ahead of the covers of this song by Paramore and Evergreen Terrace...

  • Zoli's voice is awesome!

  • In my opinion better than U2 Version.

  • its pretty good but lets not go that far XD

its has like a punk drum beat maybe ur more into that stuff so i guess its ur opinion XD

  • perfect song.....!!

  • better than orignal are you mad it has meaning to people of ireland not this shit

  • Who says this doesn't have meaning to them?

    Zoli sings with his heart.

  • Yes it was originally about a specific situation in Ireland, but it also has a deeper meaning than that, for anybody struggling against oppression anywhere in the world. Bono has said himself when performing this song live, "I long for the day when we never have to sing this song again" or words to that effect ;)

  • best cover ever <3 ...ignite live fucking kicks ass!

  • Better than the original.

    LONG LIVE IGNITE.

  • Are you mad?!

This is really good, but NOTHING can beat the original!

Well, everybody has a right to think what they want.

  • I think its better too.

the original is good, no doubt :)...but this one got the action and the message is still commin thru

  • And not even listen to this kind of music I have to admit that they are wonderful for the first time at a concert in Poland, where he heard them, I found myself by accident. singer has a wonderful voice ..

    :)

  • No, because english troops killed 29 people.

    Without a warning.

  • i think its much better than the original.....awesome band

  • Why do the Irish bitch so much about this!?

...Our land, their land, dosen't matter..

    Good cover though!

  • yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah !

  • die können live echt was

  • have seen them at first at the festival "Deichbrand-Das Rockfestival am Meer" and I love them now! Awesome!

  • Awesome !

  • saw them at rock for people and they were bloody awesome

  • the irish people are bad men, because the british people killed a thousand of them while of they are christians

    It's a big joke!!

    the irish man good man

    greetings from Hungary

  • It's peculair, Hungarians feel a connection with Ireland, because they both have a bigger country that messed them up (Great Britain/Russia).

  • the russians didn't rob a lot of land from us...the romanians, slovaks, serbs and ikraines robbed from us...

but we hate russians because of the '56 revolution

  • i wouldnt say they messed us up we got most of the country back we just need them 6 counties back.

  • yeah man english bastards! C'mon Ireland

    Saor Eire

  • All hail the reunifications of Ireland, reunification of Palestine and reunification of Hungary and the independent Kosovo and Transnistria!

  • yeah, and dont forget about north and south korea, south and north america (mexico, too, if you can find the time), north and southpole, japan and taiwan, australian and new zealand, rebuilt the udssr, seperate west from east germany, devite poland ...

    OMG !!!!!!!!

  • of course the ira has done cruel crimes, but on bloody sunday there were only innocent people. none of them had a weapon. none of them has been a member of the ira. they were killed from above or from behind, while running away. this has nothing to do with military tactics, the brits that shot them has killed them cowardly. they had no chance

  • i hope you guys know what this song is about. its about those damn Brits who shot up some protesters marching down the streets

  • oh yes the Irish are the terrorist because the British invaded their land and killed thousands because they refused to speak english. so ya lets call them terrorists to shoot back at this time, i think its appropriate, if the Brits just got out of Ireland there wouldnt be anymore violence the IRA has stated that over and over

  • The British invaded Ireland and killed them because they refused to speak English????????

    Go and read some history.

  • ive read history, ive read tons of history, and throughout it all it shows is the Britain always wants more and more land

  • Not only did they kill them for it, it was official, a law, so they could be executed, or shot on sight, legitimately.

  • Dont tell me, great grandfather was irish so that gives you the right to comment?

You forget the IRA bombing pubs and clubs, the IRA beating down and murdering two british soldiers, the IRA shooting a british soldier and missing (i believe) and killing his baby in the back of his car?

Both sides commited awful acts but we need to look past that and work together for a peaceful solution for both sides.

  • (this was to Hailstorm)

  • How long must we sing this song.

  • i have the right to comment because Irish blood runs in my veins and even if it didnt id still say that Northern Ireland will never have peace, not as long as Britain is there

  • Soldiers who drove into a funeral procession and opened fire.

No wonder they were beaten to death.

The British soldier was Loyalists, who then tried to blame it on P.I.R.A., to make them look bad.

It was no Loyalist group, just a few thugs.

  • As much as I agree that both have done horrible things, the fact is that England invaded Ireland. If you push people far enoug they'll react.

  • Tiochfaidh ár lá,

But it'll only come if this kind of thing is put behind us. Your useless,so-alled patriotic,anti-British attitude is not helping anyone.
