  • how my much fps i will get in max settings on my futur pc?:

    gtx 560 ti sli

    5tb hdd

    8gb ram

    128gb ssd

    i5 2500k

  • how do you get such a high fps?? I play with i5 2500 and GTX 460 on fullhd +16xaa and I almost get 30 fps!! the game also can not use 4 cores? why the q6600 is faster i5 according to the benchmark?? i dON'T understand

  • @Makson31319 I have 2 HD4890 in this benchmark so better than you card...

  • @ShadowM4ST + i use 16xaa =)

  • Q6600 looks decent

  • shit game to compare both cpu's. i've got a q6600 @ 2.9ghz with a GTX560Ti. i play at 1080p high - max (no AA) and getting 75fps avg on Mafia II, 84fps avg Blackops, 82fps avg Dirt3. No point atm going for an i5 or an i7, when everything runs over 60fps consistently. If i had to upgrade i only would while q6600 has some value, that way i could put the money towards a new mobo/cpu.

  • LOL Quite small 7-10 fps difference...

  • 19,2 Ghz.

    Duo Quad

  • i dont know what e bad computer that is bud Q6600 is better.

    VERY MUCH BETTER

  • A new processor beats a 4 year old processor... that is crazy!

Looks like I need to get a new GCard and just keep my Q6600

  • @SumDuud you are right, its impossible or ridicolous to compare both processors, but its interresting comparation.

  • Got 60 FPS in this benchmark at 1920x1080, all set.max, Q6600 @ 3.6 GHz, EVGA GTX570 SC @ 850-1700- 2000.

  • Q6600 have better price/quality

  • core i7 2600k - rules!

  • Comment removed

  • PEOPLE BOUGHT CORE I7 and steep Motherboard - much better EVERYTHING works, all the game is determined almost at the MAX! Open windows, site and downloads From INTERNET ALL VERY VERY FAST!

  • q6600 all setting max 1680x1050 50,60 fps ati hd 5850 I think this video fake...

  • i have q8400 and don't have problems ;)

  • @gamer78full i have slower model q8300 that one is awesome i read it will own all i3 somei5/and even the came close to the i7

  • I currently have the q6600 and love the thing to death, but its time to upgrade the beast a bit. I'm hoping to get my ASUS x58 sabertooth and i7 960 quad for x-mas. Looks amazing too

  • I still have a Q6600 in box never opened, Should probbly throw it in something or sell it

  • how much selling for?

  • @VicViperXxXxX

Are you seriously interested in selling your Q6600? I might be interested...

  • @chronDiggity Yes i am, Im haveing a hard time finding out a sell price though. This Q6600 Has never been opened and still has all the Security tape on it from Intel. I was thinking around the price of 190 give or take. I still have reserch to do. Make me an offer with a website price to back it up :) that would help alot

  • @VicViperXxXxX

yeah 190 is way too high. I've got a system with a broken e6600 that would benefit from a q6600 but I was hoping for a steal, at like $20 or something lol

  • @chronDiggity lol yeah... you might find one for that price if someone had Overclocked the crap out of one and wasnt sure how much longer it would last

  • @VicViperXxXxX

it's on it's way out man. BF3 brings it to it's knees. Games will be coming out that do the same. It's not even yesteryear's technology, it's from 4 years ago lol.

If I were you, I'd find some overclocker's forums and see what you can get for it IMMEDIATELY. This reminds me of what I did with my Touch Pro 2 (a phone.) Someone offered me 100, I thought I could get more, procrastinated, now I can't get dick :(

I bet you could get $95 in all seriousness.

  • @VicViperXxXxX

Also, what kills cpus is heat, not just the overclocking :)

    peace

  • I go for Core 2 duo E8600 and i dont even need to overclock it to run all games

this baby is fast!!! gtx 460 will perform better on a 3.33ghz cpu

  • .....i have my q6600 and i'm quite proud of it. .... alltho it lags on desktop, my power i think is to blame. dam 300w power supply.

  • i7 50+ fps

  • Hi!. I have got Q6600 (2,4ghz), 6GB RAM and Gigabyte GA-p35-ds3l. I want change my graphics (now- 8800gt) for GTX 480. Can i do it? will my computer work? I want to play Red Orchestra 2 and Battlefield 3.

  • im happy with my q6600, my 4 gig of ddr2 ram and 2x 256 8600gts cards in sli. my pc has a windows score of processor 7.1, memory 7.1, graphics 6.7, gaming graphics 6.7 and primary hard disk 5.9.... i built this thing a few years ago. my uncle bought the latest packard bell tower and my score is higher still. nothing is over clocked and runs every game ive tried. i guess as long as your pc is fast enough for you and runs everything you want it to its a good computer.

  • @SaucyBegger25 yep, i had a similar system and felt absolutely no need to upgrade at all. i only replaced my video card because it had 3 annoying driver issues that nvidia never bothers to fix (related to using a hdmi cable to a television). my new ATI hd6950 is almost 3 times as fast as my old 8800GT, but the only reason i'm satisfied with my purchase is because ati drivers have none of those issues i've been having for the last 3 years with my nvidia card. couldn't care less about the speed.

  • why the fuck is this video even made it ? obviously the i7 is better its a fucking i7 latest series of the intel CPUs....WTF...why you didnt compared it with a Intel® Celeron® Processor 847 (2M Cache, 1.10 GHz) i think thats a realy damn video to show....i bet the celeron is way better.....(sarcasm used , if you`re noob you`d probably didn`t read this anyway)...

  • Q6600-G0 @ 3.2Ghz + Rampage Extreme + 4GB 1600-CL6 Ripjaws-X + GTX 285 SLI:

    Crysis 1024*768 Max DX10 = 56fps SLI

    Crysis 1024*768 Max DX10 = 55fps Single 285 !

    I got Bottlefu!n$# !!

Still hard for me to keep my G0 cool @ 3.6Ghz with the TT DuOrb !!

    SandyBridge.. here i come !

  • still this is 5-6 old CPU VS the Best AND Greatest latest one and it still holds it own

  • To the guy saying you get 100 fps u talk fucking bullshit

  • i7 looks better :D

  • Nice to see some Q6600 fan boys :p

Went from Q6600--> 2500K. Nice boost in performance. However, the Q6600 is still a fantastic CPU.

  • OMG i7 never drop to 30 but still unfair should q6600 vs i5

  • CPUs have aged better than GPUs. Compare 4 or 5 years on a GPU. How does a 8800 GTX/GTS (G80 or *gasp* G92 [they were great bang for the buck]) compare to the current 560/570/580 GTX line? Now... throw in overclocks... OC a 8800 as high as you can then OC a 5xx GTX has high as you can.

A 4-5 year gaming rig that's still relevent is pretty awesome.

Sure a C6 Corvettes faster than a C5 Corvette... but it's still fast.. and I've been enjoying it for years... ;)

  • So... new technology is faster than old technology. Great. Otherwise I'd never have to reason to upgrade my still very good Q6600 @ 3.8... someday

Since we went 65nm to 45nm C2Qs then to the i7s. 2 Gens, right? A tick and a tock? Seeing that video makes me realize what a wonderful value my Q6600 was when I sold my E6600 I had bought at $200 new for $100 and picked up a new Q6600 for $200. Is newer stuff faster? Of course. Why else upgrade?

  • anyone know name of the song?

  • Just chillin with 100+ fps on very high 1920 x 1080, on a i7 920 @4Ghz and a 5970 @900/1240mhz.

I wasn't gonna comment anything, but since there's some people talking shit with a Q6600..

  • @SickneZZ2 wow having a fast computer makes you so sexy!

    ... are you serious?

  • @GraveUypo Look it up Irony on the internet. You seem to be unfamiliar with it.

  • @SickneZZ2 oh sure you were being sarcastic. I believe it.

  • @GraveUypo Damn you're dumb. Will i need to quote my own comment to point out the obvious?

Nevertheless, you're most likely just mad.

  • woopty doo, i still love my Q6600

  • @MetalPower86 its a good won the e8500 tow :)

  • lol you say i7 930 wins and it does when it comes to fps but what a beast is the q6600!!! it is way older then the new expensive 930 and it still performes and clocks like hell! srry man but for me the q6600 wins :)

  • @dudedude873 not really i got a q9300 and i7 930 wins on most games

    80% faster

  • lol i get 75 FPS with my Q6600 @ 3GHz, 4GB of ram and a single GTX 460 in 1440x900 resolution!

  • @camargo2012 only?? in this resolution i have around 100 fps...

  • @ShadowM4ST me 350 fps, lol

  • @ShadowM4ST only?? in this resolution i have around 6397 fps...

  • @ShadowM4ST It depends how he has captured these clips. If fraps was used then that will cut the frame rate considerably...when I use fraps, it usually cuts the frames by a third...

  • @camargo2012 nice

  • @camargo2012 @ 3GHz is a bottleneck on that gtx 460

    noob!

  • @crackkn the only noob here is you because not even GTX 460 in SLI get bottlenecked by the Q6600...how you gonna tell me? i have done tons of research and benchmarks, and keep in mind that the Q6600 is a quad which can run all games today as long as you overclock.

  • @crackkn are you high or something? What? do you need a 5ghz i7 980x so that the gtx 460 won't be bottlenecked? Geezus! You're the noob!

  • @adyandrey23andrey and for a gtx590/hd6990 what will you need then? pff (facepalm)

  • Q6600 is still a beast when over-clocked. It's an amazing processor, a testimony to how advanced Core 2 was when it was released.

  • ill take the q6600. For the price you cant compare at the time i saw this 249$ for the 930.....q6600 60$. Id take that extra money and bank it for now. What did it get to 37 FPS lowest.

  • Intel celeron rocks!

  • q6600 whit a overlclock to 3.4 pared whit a good card can max out every thing whit good fps

  • Whats the music?

  • what if it was a core 2 quad 9000? cuz i am looking at an Alienware M17x with a core 2 quad 9000 or another laptop that has i7 740qm whick of the 2 would run better? as in games like black ops BBC2 Crysis 2 etc. thanks

  • @fordfan197 nothing because if you see that thediff between an i7 and q6600 (oldest quad) is only like 5 fps then you will have 1-2 or no more fps then this guy on a q6600

  • @marfg12345 thanks, though it doesn't matter any more lol cuz im getting an i-7 740QM lol im getting an ASUS G73JH-BST7 with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 graphics 6GB RAM 640GB hard drive, cant wait, its gonna be a beast! :D it can run all games on maximum except Crysis 2 and Metro 2033 but can run them smooth on HIGH settings

  • @fordfan197 if you are talking bout a laptop, they are usually never made for gaming, the problem with crysis is that it doesnt uses more then 2 cores in-game

so if you have a six core cpu it will use only 2 cores, same for quad cores ( 4 cores)

mobility cards are usually much weaker then standrard graphics card, so the hd5870 will performe like hd5770

i dont know why would you buy a laptop, for all that money you can buy a good quad and a gtx580, but whatever

    laptops are shit with games

  • @marfg12345 well you obviously dont know much about laptops then, Alienware, Asus, MSI and Origin are all extremely great gaming laptops, the Asus that I am getting can play Crysis 2 on max settings. and why would I buy a laptop? maybe because I travel and like to game, like a lot of people

  • Good god, the i7 rigs are just overkill.

  • look at the year, price and the perfomance ;)

  • q 6600 @3,6 ghz , ati 6850, 4 x 1 gb ddr 2 @800, 22" 1680x 1050

    Crysis 2 demo : 30-50 Fps hardcore

    BFBC 2 : 30-70 Fps high,8aa, 16 af

i love my cpu 4 year old :)

  • @affe12341234 Good for you ;)

  • @affe12341234 it will be good for another 3 years xD

    because it's freaking nice oc to 3.6GHz x 4 = 14,4GHz dude!

  • @affe12341234 it look like my system i have a intel vore 2 quad q8400 2.5 ram 4 gb ddr2 overcloack 1001

and a msi r6850 good system no problems only one time a virus :) and a broing fan

  • @affe12341234 How the hell did you get an HD6000 series before it was made?

  • @MysticRixel

before are 8800 gts 640mb xfx oc ^^

  • @affe12341234 Ok then, nice PC :)

  • @affe12341234 i got a q6600 too but at stock speed :D

my oc last a cup of tests and pushed only to 2.7Ghz.. I want get the 6850 too and i was wondering how slow is it on games at stock speed, did you test it? sorry for my poor english..

  • @LinuxeandoCOMar

    q6600@2,4 ghz bfbc2 i have 20-50 fps^^

  • @affe12341234 hey i have the q6600 and im planning on upgrading to AMD this time instead of intel .. im going with Sabertooth Mother Board AMD Phenom Black 1100T will the amd be much of a Difference than q6600??

  • Q6600 struggling to keep up with i7 @ stock LOL...

  • @atomdragon4 um obvioulsy , because the i7 is a newer cpu.

  • @ListalReviews Duuuuh I think I already know that...

  • Wow im buying a intel core 2 quad q6600 for such a old processor this is amzing

  • Thank you so much for this Vid man , You saved me Throwing a Q6600 into the trash . Had one in my closet collecting dust and was about to throw it out when i came across this vid not im assured pairing it up with a ATI HD 6990 will rock most games

  • This test is not valid due to the fact that Crysis does not take advantage of all the i7's cores and threads (and Hyperthreading) over the Q-series. If it did then we would seen huge gains in FPS even if the i7 was running 2Ghz lower than the Q6600.. Try a comparison using Bad Company 2 (in DX11) or Metro 2033 (in DX11)..

  • @stovnergutt i7 dont have dx11, q6600 too... hd4890 dont have dx11 too...

  • @ShadowM4ST What are you talking about? Of course the CPU's don't have DX11. The new GTX 4xx, 5xx or HD 5xxx or 6xxx has DX11.. When You bought i7 you pretty much paid for the hyperthreading which is almost one of the only things that separate i7 from Q6600.. Only DX11 games has the ability to take advantage of Hyperthreading because it has support for multiple Cores and Threads. Get a DX11 card and bech again.. You would see 50%+ increase at least in DX11 titles!

  • @stovnergutt to say that... first you want to see my channel.... and see my newest videos.... than talk...

  • @ShadowM4ST I'm not talking about any other video than this. Newer videos are irrelevant.. This is an unfair comparison for the i7. That's all i wanted to say..

  • @ShadowM4ST CPU's don't have DX11? You got an i7 and don't even know that?

  • @ShadowM4ST hi, does crysis use all 4 cores in a quad cpu because i'm buying q8400 2,66GHz and i wonder will it use all 4 cores

i dont want to end up with using only 1 or 2 cores that will be like i have core 2 duo 2,66GHz if you know what mean ofc xD

  • Do a test with q6600 stock settings!

  • @RockTouching i haven got it now..

  • This is complete crap. the i7 is clocked at 4 ghz and the q660 is at 3.8. i7 has 1600 mhz ram and the q6600 has only 800 mhz. most of the framerate increase is from the ram

  • wow new Tech beats old teach I would never of known, thanks.

  • wow today i bought the q6600 from a friend.overclock Im coming!!!!!!!!!

  • well what im saying s ... if i use the q6600 i sould be fine right? couse if i can use tat proccesor i wont bother buying a new one

  • If i get a incredibly powerful Video card can the q6600 handle crysis fine ? i have on collecting dust i should probbly use

  • @VicViperXxXxX I wanted to ask that too. Since CPUs have such a ridiculously low effect on games compared to GPUs, I'm thinking the new GPUs should be more than enough to max crysis on a quad core. I have friends that brag about their i7's they dropped 600 dollars on, but in reality they could have added half of that towards their video cards and gotten 2-3 times more FPS...

  • @VicViperXxXxX er, i didn't mean 2-3 times more FPS total. I meant 2-3 times more FPS than the i7 gave them... the i7 would give like a 5-8 fps increase from a quad I'm guessing after looking at benchmarks, while a new graphics card would add a crapton of fps

  • i7 wins

  • i want to have that OC in my Q6600 GO i have it on stock but when i BUY the CNPS9900 MAX i will try to the MAGICAL 3.6 that have 23°c, i know the Noctua NH-D14 is the best coller out there but i love the ZALMAN coolers that is light and cool very well aa you have 3.8 only in benchmark or you have it when you set the PC for gaming ???

  • Everyone knew before watching that i7 would win.. can't compare the q6600 with i7...

  • They both had about the same fps.

  • for a 5 yr old cpu it does FAKING good :P

  • @seacuracao indeed it does. Pretty good cpu intel pulled 5 years ago.. now lets say the game ran at 2560x1600 full AA full AF.. i'd like to see that video:) the bottleneck will be barely noticeable.

  • @seacuracao It's more like 3.5 years old, not that old.

  • how surprising that the i7 won lol

  • whats the point of buying a i7 when the quad still kicks ass

  • @Fallout9531 It's for people who don't feel like upgrading their PC for the next 10 years...

  • For me, the only reason I upgraded from a Q6600 to an i7-920 was for six RAM slots (running 12 GB of RAM at the time...now 24 GB, which is overkill for gaming, but great for virtual machines).

For others, is it enough to justify the purchase of a new motherboard, CPU, and RAM (if your LGA775 board has DDR2 slots instead of DDR3)? Like ShadowM4ST said, if you're doing SLI or Crossfire, then then answer is yes (you'll be bottlenecked otherwise). Otherwise, wait for Sandy Bridge...

  • Yay, the i9 is here now! Time to fork out another thousand dollars!...

Waste of money. Q6600 runs my video games such as Crysis Warhead, Grand Theft Auto IV, Mafia II etc. just fine. If your RAM and video card is upgraded well, no need to switch to an expensive processor.

Keep wasting your money assholes. Better to put it towards upgrading a pc than to put it in the bank, right? :P

  • 3.8 vs 4.1 ?

    haha

    in $

    Q6600 > i7 930

  • @maNtdTUBE i got my i7 930 for $150 at microcenter 2 months ago new, and i got my q6600 for $500 3 years ago... i think the i7 was a better deal lol... plus i found most q6600 on ebay today run from $110-130 in my range thats only $20ish less than the i7 price i paid for. so no i7 > q6600 in $ but i do agree the q6600 was awesome outperformed newer cpus which was weird. it was alien technology lol. Oh and microcenter has a website so you can go check.

  • 3 years with q6600 at 3.4ghz and he works great all time..just 4 core and 4 threads

    i7 930 is better...but he have a new architecture,8 trehads, PP45nm and run at 4.1ghz

    CAPITAN OVVIO :D

  • waths the name of the number

  • the q6600 cant juse a board band of 133mhz ddr3 memory ddr2 1066 oc than yes

  • i7 950 or 930 what's best?

Sorry for being such Nooblike ):

  • Crysis is not a CPU-intensive game

  • @maroom1 idiot.....

  • is q6600 still available im the market ?

  • hi is the q6000 overclocked?

  • @NicKMalti81 yes.... 3,8Ghz

  • @ShadowM4ST Damb I have q6000, I just ordered 2 4890`s I`m screwed.

  • Q6600 G0 @ 3GHZ is still rocking!

  • You spend money to buy new motherboard, new cpu, and get just this poor advantage on performance? Common, it was a bad result.

I think spending money with bitches is better than your upgrade

  • q6600 in this video is working on 90% and crossfire of hd4890 on 80% (because this cpu bottlenecked this crossfire) and i7 work at 10% and cards 100% if you put 2 HD5970 in crossfire or quad sli gtx480 you can see same fps with q6600 because it is working at 90% and crossfire or sli is working at 20% and with i7 and same cards you can see much difference something like cpu 70% and cards 100%... understand what i mean ?

  • @ShadowM4ST so, you dont need to remove my comment, only why i said the true? Q6600 at 3,8GHz.. 65nm and from 2006.. with DDR2 800Mhz.. against a "i7" in 4,1GHz, 32nm.. with memory DDR3 1600MHz.. the memory can explain all... only you see... at the start.. they are the same FPS... and when camera is next to the beach and showing the rocks etc... the DDR3 1600MHz can load very much faster than a DDR2 800!... I just understand what you mean, but to more credits, do a video showing the cpu use.

  • @Shellll32 sorry if i removed you comment, i put it 3 copys xDD and remove 2 but 3rd i dont know where is ? xD i sell my cpu (q6600 and cant to do new video of it :S)

  • STFU guys.. this video makes perfect sense.. I am looking for a good reason to upgrade my q6600 @ same OC, so this was exactly what I needed.. Thanks man.

Even though I'm quite sure the chipset has a lot to say because you're running crossfire.. I would like to see the same test, just with a single GFX.. It's probably out there somewhere :)

  • I have that i7 since a couple of weeks. It replaces my sempron 2800+ XD .

  • Q6600 is going strong difference is that bad and its clocked lower!!

  • quit whining, 930 pwns .

  • @LMAOTutorials it does pwn but its far from being worth the money

  • @TomaCukor ehem....still pwns :) worth my money :D

  • not that much of the difference... go q6600

  • Theres better quad cores than just the 6600? why choose the 6600, but not like a 8000 or 9000 series.

  • @gatler05 because q6600 is my old cpu... and i bought him in 2006... and 8000 and 9000 series are from 2008 or 2009....

  • @ShadowM4ST mmk...

  • @gatler05 most people have q6600, so having another q6600 VS Whatever is a necessary demo

  • @sylvial1985 I know right I havea q6600 but I sold it :P, damn man I miss it to actully but im planning just to get a x6 or at least x4 from AMD. Untill Intel makes somthing good and affordable lol for me. I sitll love my quad core xeons though, always are beast.

  • @gatler05

Because most people have Q6600 and Q6800.

He is trying to show now is a good time to Upgrade :p

  • @BKsMassive Sorry bro yeah I know man, I never payed attention to Core 2 Quads before just Xeon. But yeah I know, well i7 is not that significant of a upgrade, unless your doing video encoding but yes i7 is better but yeah bro.

  • VIDEO É FACK MENTIROSO RARARARARARARAAAAAAA

  • Q6600 price/perfomance ratio. Q6600 WINS !

  • I7 960 at 3.2 GHZ is a decent CPU.

  • Most of the FPS gain comes from the Core i7's much lesser bottleneck.

  • Still gonna buy PC with Q6600 becouse i found that PC pretty cheap!

But sad VGa is quadro fx!

  • I7 wins? wow man. what are you comparing next? an ATI 2900XT vs ATI 5870? or even better 2900XT vs 5970. Come on, be reasonable. Obviosly I7 will win, Q6600 came out in 2007. I bought it then and it still has a long time left.

  • @andresjp77arg Yes, but I compared the two four-core processors, and showed which of the two need to buy to use two hd4890 to 100%. Because in this video we see that the q6600 can not cope with two hd4890 and imagine that you with it will put hd5970 FPS then you will not grow ... You see my point?

  • @ShadowM4ST I do understand . But you are comparing a brand new high end processor (the I7 is a quad but with HT tech - this means 2 threads for core - so 8 threads in total vs 4 threads cores of a native quad). What i am trying to tell you is that this comparison is not fair, the CPU speeds are different too and they are both Intel, so obviously it MUST be faster. I disliked the way you show it, like if you were dispising it. I was an awesome CPU for the price and it still is working very good.

  • got my q6600 running at 3.4 GHZ stable

faster then some of the i7's!

  • @klote2314 maybe faster than a 920 stock, but if you overclock the 920 or 930 to 3.0 or just 3.2 GHz they will beat without problems your q6600 :)

  • Not a fair comparison, multi card configurations are much faster on x58 chipsets... event then, q6600´s frame rate doesn´t look bad at all.

  • Core I7 930 is much faster, big difference.

  • @george3dmax yes, in games when you need cpu... you can see twice diference...like residen evil...

  • Song after dnb - Egypt Central - YOU MAKE ME SICK

  • wow no shit the i7 is better, is has to be, its a lot more expensive -.-'

  • got mine for 150 bucks ;)

  • i dont think the core i7's look that much faster than the q6600 either, especially once the q6600 is overclocked, from watching this video i still am happy i went with a q6600, price/performance i think the q6600 is a better deal right now

  • The core i7's are not that much faster then the core 2 quad's

  • @Ultravideoslave yes is much faster :D
