Hi - The bees are Leaf-cutter bees. They use small holes in which they clean and whittle out any debris. They then cut circular leaf shapes which they deposit in the holes and cement firmly in. The bees then lay one single egg before sealing up the chamber with leaves that they have cut out. The process is amazing - I have never seen it on nature films on the TV and so I just wanted to share the process with everyone.
