  • Where can I get this song?

  • American's need to start having full blown jam sessions like this more often. I think we could cure alot of problems with just a daily dose of some good music and good people.

  • @Uncovered3rdEye94 I totally agree. music is so freeing for the soul

  • What the hell? This made me cry haha :'D

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It's amazing how banjo almost sounds like a steel drum in this context.

  • How could you NOT love this?!? <3

  • Happiest music in the world. Love it! \\m//(o_o)\\m//

  • Such a happy sound

  • this is one of the funniest clips on youtube. its not the song, its the background stuff. From the badly sung tune "america keep going ahead" where bela fleck tries to groove like the local, to the subtitles for people speaking english , the jokes dont stop!... doesnt change the fact though that I love this tune

  • Psa 150:6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

  • Are you aware of the words she is saying? Hallelujah! Jesus is the only answer that I know. Praise the LORD!

  • this is really good...bela fleck is da man

  • @lyleworks at 1:48 it's the guy playing the maroon box. It's a bass finger piano.

  • So inspiring! Does anyone which instrument is playing the bass figure? If so, what is it called? I don't see it here in the video. Thanks!

  • @lyleworks There is a big boxed base m'bira (thumb piano) being shown @ 1:00 and 1:45 that the player is sitting on. I think they have it miked and EQ'ed pretty heavy.

  • The DVD is great! Bela goes from place to place hunting down banjo history and the best musicians Africa has to offer.

  • That girl was hitting it! Such an amazing music these people have and shared.

  • This documentary was so incredible and for me this was the highlight in terms of just perfect blending.

  • This music makes me happy -

  • watched this documentary last night, the music filled my heart in ways I thought impossible.

  • YAY red shirt guy! Dance like nobody's watching!!!

  • @benjaminburgess07 Work it like you don't need the money...

  • I LOVE this song! so happy.

  • My favorites file is over-flowing!

  • incredible

  • I have been going around for the past week singing this song, what an amazing impact!:)

  • This is the musical essence of pure Africa, unspoilt rhythms and a raw earthy mix of harmony - wish i was there to hear it live! Bela not bad as an accompaniment but there were a few times when I thought he was just a bit over the top.

  • the first bit is amazing

  • This is incredible..

  • Damn. This woman's got some soul!

  • This DVD is incredible! I saw it a month ago and I keep hearing in my head "I used to fear, but now i don't fear again. I'm free" Awesome

  • What's the name of this song? It's absolutely amazing.

  • when i started to play with them, I use to fear. But now I dont fear again!!! I AM FREE!! :D RAD!! i love all these african musicians man they boogied and smiled the whole time they jammed their asses off saturday night for us here in grand junction.

  • i want to play this song with my band! sounds like a I IV V pattern should be easy, now to find the words...

  • @banjome It took me a little while to figure this out, but it's actually in English. She's singing "Hallelujah Jesus is the only answer that I know" and the backround singers come in with "Jesus is the only answer that I know".

  • @gomets51

your close... its: "hallelujah , jesus is the only path that I know"

    same difference .. ;-)

Check out the whole video ,, its all amazing!

  • @coochicrook I love this whole project. I had the pleasure of seeing Bela with a few of the musicians featured in the film in April. It was one of the best shows I've ever seen. Some of these African musicians are absolute virtuosos.

  • Thank you for posting. This was my favorite song from the movie!

  • i played this scene back several times thinking the samething, thanks for posting

  • Saw this last night. Despite the ridiculously uncomfortable seats, it had my attention start to finish. Great filim!!!

  • this is soo cool! I like this music ^^

  • HA! Beautiful. The banjo sounded beautiful with the adungus. The banjo, an old west african instrument, combined with east african music; it's like two sister parts of africa meeting together with eachother.

  • i totally agree with you!

  • Yea, the interesting is that the rhythm he is playing on banjo sounds like typical african style of playing we play on the guitar. When you listen to most african style guitar it is the same style of rhythm, the only difference is that it is played on guitar which has a slightly different sound then the banjo which has a tart sound. The banjo sound mirrors the Xhalam or Akonting etc. and not guitar.

  • @thotsins amen :)
