  • Insane tone!

  • that amp looks like its gonna eat me

  • Damn sick ass tone!

  • @shreddmasterj :) I see you!

  • @Metaljonus4020 LIAR!

  • 10mins to make it sound like a line 6 pod, not sure what to think about that ^^.

  • What tubes are in this amp 6L6 or something that isn't commonly used?

  • 0:49 - DAT FACE!

  • I've just shat the bed.

  • 0:49 - Epic face is EPIC!

  • That sounds excellent.

  • pure porn !

  • hey guys... is it right, a TSM103? i cant find that mic to buy? or is it a TLM103?

  • @alexassan looks like a tlm 103 to me

  • Nice eye candy amp. I really like how the show case the flux capacitors in the front to take your tone back to the future.

  • when is this out and how much will it cost in australian dollars !

  • @dusted04 thats what im waiting to see! I can't find any info about it online!!

  • So this was just the amp (and his condensator+sm57)? No added overdrive pedal or noise gate?

  • should have turned the mics gain down quite a bit.

  • sounds like crap

  • I wonder how much this amp costs...is f*ckin' epic, i want one!!!!

  • @themaggot8 I think its 2.5- 3 thousand dollars

  • sounds amazing

  • Hi, sounds tight and aggressive, the perfect sound for my opinion. i have one question: what's the brand of the TSM103? i can't find anything on the web about this mic. thanks and keep creating great amps!

  • oh my god...there are too many amps and names out there....as i have to buy one i don t know anymore how to choose......any ideas?!?!?!? i love the mesa boogie...please tell me the one i can afford and the most versatile....anser me guyssss

  • @tatsareover Axe FX

  • @barneycockburn thanks for at least one answer

  • You're rich?

  • @rallyivan1234 well he is the guitarist from one of the most influential bands in metal of the past two decades

  • Leds look kinda kitsch. Sounds not bad but like a mark IV that went wrong or something!

  • @rololoo Can you tell me the settings? Would be really happy for them. I also have POD farm! :D

  • @TheAlianOlsen

Basically you add two or three Screamers before a Solo 100 Head. But with my factory pickups I'm not totally happy with the sound, I ordered a Lundgren bridge pickup, should be getting it soon.

  • @rololoo you should hook me up with the patch! pls....

  • @metalbass211

I think my comment was stupid back then because ive since realized the podfarm produces dumb high register sounds. With every mic model and cab. But I did get a decent djenty tone with two branch tone (I mean the A and B sides), A has noise gate+equ with lots of bass+mids+two screamers+treadplate dual+4+12treadplate with 57 on axis, B is similar but has one screamer, amp is solo 100 head, cab is 4x12 Line6 with 421 dynamic. Might not sound good with all guitars idk

  • @metalbass211

The best option imo is to get impulse responses for an impulse response VST cab (you can find free ones) for your music production software. Record a track with clean undistorted sound and load the vst, import some impulse response files (if you don't know what they are, google) and start tweaking.

  • Hard to tell how these and other amps truly sound off of YouTube. In person I bet it's Godly. The recording is taking alot of the chug away and adding mids. Unless one spends alot on recording equipment I notice this....however I'm still digging this tone. Reminds me of my Engl Fireball 100. Wish there was a place to try out one around here.

  • i love how quiet it is in between chugs

  • The alienware of guitar amps

  • those tubes are as big as my balls

  • 10 minutes after tweaking....PURE DJENT

  • @zambcore sounds like rubbish after tweaking. It literally made me have to drop a deuce. That's kind of funny though.

  • @iccarroll Ya I kind of agree. Although the post tweaking sound was much louder and had a few effects on, the guitar lost a bit of tone in a way. The chords sounded better before tweaking, they just need to turn it up.

  • that thing is pretty damn sweet, I really want to play that

  • the light show that it puts on is pretty sick.

  • his face at 0:47 is like mine was when i heard this thing

  • Comment removed

  • i don't know what that is, but it appears it would drain the power grid on my block if i had it cranked...

  • It sounds too tinny and sharp. Of course hearing it in person is the final judge but from the video, the attack and punch is obviously great but it really lacks soul.

  • @MoveoImago I think this tone could not be any better for an 8-string. Remember, that was only the GUITAR track you are hearing, when the bass backs up the 2 guitars, it does not lack anything anymore. Its all in the overall EQ of the different instruments of the band, not in the EQ of a single instrument. Especially in extremely low tunings like the ones Meshuggah uses. Standard F#, Drop E...

  • @GibsonRocker1958 Makes sense. Especially with the 8 string yes. They are a totally different beast.

  • @GibsonRocker1958 I'm glad people understand how to make a guitar have real tone. Mid heavy tone makes for great live sound!

  • @ccampbell92 True that! Of course its a whole different thing to eq in studio and to eq live sounds, but you have a point there! :)

  • Meshuggah Face lol

  • I could down a fucking oak tree with that sound..Meshuggah forever!

  • Wonder how much these tubes would cost to replace? Seeing as they come from Russian fighter jets built to last nuclear war...

  • @DruidxSephiroth you answered your own question...their designed to last nuclear war. Hence not needing to be replaced ;P

  • @IronHearse Eh, Fredrik with his butterfingers...

  • @DruidxSephiroth They cost not too much, but very hard to find. Tubes are the same that used in Russian jet MIG 25. Why we use tubes in jets ? Because of the wide working temperature range. Tube does not afraid of overloading. Digital processors and chips that are used in jets of other countries is not reliable in extreme situations when jet is flying on max boost speed with incredible overload.

    Как то так вот !

  • @DruidxSephiroth $25 for "ONE" tube still $100 for complete swap. I already got shitload of them tubez but also for building HiFi Mono Blocks :)

  • 0:48

  • i wanna see his EQ for soloing!

  • way to scoop the mids

  • @Creature1009 sounds like the mids are boosted if anything imo; not so much standard mids as it is low mids (700-800hz) and high mids (~1.5khz) however

  • The J-FETS are difficult to see too LOL. Hybrid preamp not tube.

  • when does it come out?

  • dar amps just sponsered DL from the acacia strain!

  • who is the wank guitarist

  • @purplefryer1987 lol is fredrik thordendal is kinda amazing lol not a wank guitarist XD

  • @WinkOfAnIndexFinger ill take your word for it fella im not so clued up nowadays maybe its just not my thing

  • @purplefryer1987 Meshuggah is an acquired taste...

  • yeah directly from mig 21.Thats hitech

  • Son of a mutherfuck. this is amazing.

  • Is he using an over drive pedal in the signal chain?

  • paired with that great marshall cab. Huge component to his tone

  • He should've stayed with Bogner.

  • @se7enplagues wooot! you don't know what u are saying!! oh plz god forgive him!! he just don't know...

  • this amp is fucking great sounding, still like the fortin better.

  • Djent. Djent. Djent.

  • 0:46... i totally shit my pants when he hit that low string

  • the tubes exploded due to the poly rhythms.. ok bad joke

  • holy jesus clitache crunk fuck

  • Who is designing the logo for this new amp??

  • looks cool, but the tone is crap. just absorbs all the string noise and makes everything sound too "in your face"

  • Another amp head that only rich people can afford

  • 1:14 I started crying like a little girl.

  • GASsing like a mofo.

  • This amp sounds seriously awesome, and looks even better. WANT!!

but seriously, this guy's constant open chugging makes me want to bash my face off a wall. Could he not throw in something other than the odd power chord, or god forbid, a sycopated note??

  • @PaintingPerception 'this guy' ? wtf man

  • @PaintingPerception What I don't get is the cardioid and omni directional mics placed directly next to the mesh of the marshal. Why two mics? Why so damn close?

  • @UrbanCrunkMovement Pretty sure they're both cardioid. Two mics so he can get more variety with his sound, so close because they would want a tight sound with little room sound, proximity effect could add to his low end.

  • @daqtip Thanks for the response, I have never seen this technique. You're right they're both cardioid, I think I meant to say condenser and omni directional. I do believe the mic on the right is a Shure SM57. The one on the left looks expensive, could putting it that close harm the diaphragm?

  • @UrbanCrunkMovement Yes it's an SM57, the other looks like it was based off a TLM 103 which can handle these volumes no problem. Ribbon mics are the ones you have to be careful with.

  • @UrbanCrunkMovement

Two mics in two different spots pick up different frequencies from the driver at diffrerent rates and volume. When 2 or more are in phase it makes the recorded sound more like the sound you would hear right infront of it. Also, it can be used as a physical eq for shaping your tone and attenuation. Finally, so close is pretty self explanitary, but since you asked, the waveforms of each sound decay at different rates which can lead to a hollow tin can sound from too far away.

  • @PaintingPerception Cool thanks for the answer, I don't play guitar so I don't get much practice recording it.

  • fredrik: "bulb who?"

  • TOO MUCH WANT

  • FOKKKIN TIGHT LIKE A VIRGIN TEEN!!!!

  • I'm usually more into older school amps (my favorite is my trusty green stripe boogie Mark III) but holy shit does this sound ever so good! How does the FBM compare to this? I'm especially interested in dynamics and note seperation.

  • 0:48

  • Really wow!

  • DJENTY as fuck

  • @filitalian That's what she said.......

  • jesus tittyfucking christ

  • How are the 75's in that Marshall not falling over themselves?

  • holy djent, that's tight as fuck.. with more gain and an overdrive it'd be a fucking monster..

  • They say your balls actually gets bigger each time you chug a chord with this amp.

  • what tone did i THINK i wanted before?

  • Sounds too much like a POD, im hoping this has more to do with Thordendal's settings :\

  • I'm not hearing anything that justifies the price tag on this thing.

  • Sounds cool. Looks cool but, with this level of tightness it's starting to get a bit of an SS tonality to me. That's not saying ait's bad though some may think so. In reallity that ultra tight transient reponse and tracking is what SS has to offer in the heavy worl and why a lot of low tuned heavy players don't use tube anymore and why bass rigs are mostly SS now.

  • I know what amp I want next....

  • Dayum

  • The Preamp tubes are right in there tucked besides the power tubes.... just difficult to see them.

  • @daramps I read the manual doing a Google search. A J-FET is the first gain device then you have a 12AU7 which is a very low gain tube and a 12AX7 .The manual reads like each tube is for different tones instead of having all the triodes cascade like in a typical amp.Not to mention what do you do for a phase inverter?

99% of high gain tube amps use 3- 12AX7's 2 for 4 stages of gain(full potential) and 1 for the phase inverter (class A/B typically)

    So you aren't being honest.

  • since the preamp doesn't use tubes, is it digital/chip or analogue OP Amps/JFET etc ?

  • I could cook my sunday roast dinner in those tubes.

  • I would like to hear some heavy-ass doom coming from one of these amps. The chugging only lets you know so much about how the amp sounds. Sweet shit either way. Those power tubes look badass

  • WOW leds are doing also chugga chugga :O i want it

  • Groovy jam and nice sound but why on earth wouldn't you make matching speakers? Or do you?

  • Whats up with the light show?

  • Holy Christ on the cross those tubes!

  • The tubes in this thing are from an Mig-25.... that's a fucking fighter jet. This is offiicially the most badass amp ever

  • I'd like to hear this thing on other strings other than the 8th string =P

  • Is the Marshall Cab modified ? or Original?

    Thank you

  • lame as a dead horse.. and ur sound is horrible - got the mic on the cone center too much

  • @TheeAldeen That's meshuggah for you ROFL

  • @crappycannibal - try not to be so Internet. You'll be the one that freaks out when it comes to eating people. But hey, that means there is more for me.

  • THE AMPS IS FORGING LIQUID METAL INSIDE OF IT!!

  • :49 thats how you know its heavy cuz it makes him have that face

  • i just wish this video was of someone who could actually play more than one chord...

  • Does the Marshall cab have the stock 75's in it?

  • @fluff191 In talking to Mike, I think the marshall has stock speakers. I know that's what they use to test their amps on, but this one in the video I think is property of FAL..so no clue.

  • Sounds fucking great.

  • That's one HUGE head.

  • Am i right in thinking that's made from carbon fibre or is it a sort of black tweedy sort of material?

  • Look forward for this amp.

but i guess it must be very expensive.

  • Amp looks great, but why is he playing such crap? All that low-string chugging doesn't really show off an amp - what about some good riffs? Some good soaring lead work? Some tasty blues? Even some nice clean stuff? Or is the amp only designed for heavy metal head bangers?

  • @OriginalNightStalker

...er, that guy is in Meshuggah. That's why he's chugging. It's not an amp demo, it's a Future Breed Machines teaser.

  • @OriginalNightStalker I'm sure this amp could do all that. In fact go to DARAMPS channel and check out Aaron own some tones. He makes this amp really come alive. But as for the "only designed for heavy metal head bangers" part, the amp will be called Future Breed Machine..it's Fredrik's custom amp. You know..Meshuggah. So, yeah, there will be a lot of heavy metal coming out of it.

  • See those windows on the amp? They're a pair of BALLS!

  • this is sick! would be better without the shitty marshall cab

  • the mesa-boogie dual rectifier is the most popular metal amp.... I think that's about to change.

  • so..tone merchants? is that the only way to get one of these things?

  • holy christ nuts! this thing is badass!

  • I cannot put my jaws back...

  • Beautiful...I'm guessing somewhere in the 5+ thousand dollar mark for the head?

  • @ChimpFromSpace $3,695 for the head. at least that's what tone merchants' site is saying. I'm debating on what car to steal and sell to get this thing. lol.

  • this man loves his gain....lol

  • 0:47 KILLER SOUND!!!!!!!!

  • send one of these to EVH

  • holy fucking goddamn shit

  • Comment removed

  • @Waaop : Our tubes are called 6c33B. They are not anything custom and are readily available worldwide. They are commonly used in military and HIFI applications. Thx for checking out the video.

  • @daramps Thanks :) Dindt know these where manufactured world wide because i never seen them at dealers before. Anyways, Iam looking forward for the DAR amps :P

  • @Waaop i think id rather keep the ENGL if i were you... just cause thats so much money for an amp

  • @AnOddMusician Well I keep my ENGL anyways because it was my first Tube amp and love it but i encountering problems and need 1 backup for live playing + i want to try another brand to and the most sound i like and search is the sound come from this DAR head :P

  • so damn crunchy

  • Sick! Like the Fortin.
