Although saying something like that would be a common question asked only because of the amount of knowledge this man has, but nonetheless the manner that the person in the audience asked the question was more rhetorical which is a bit unnecessary to say the least

so sad that he would die just 2 years after this. imagine if he had lived to see 9/11, bush's presidency and the wars we're in, the huge increase in mobile technology and the internet. his voice was sorely missed this past decade. for anyone who is interested...Timothy Freke, who calls himself a stand-up philosopher, is, in my opinion, the best candidate to follow in McKenna's footsteps. look up his 2005 lecture in Bath, England on youtube. it's brilliant. you guys will love it.

@TeteFutuito he's an excellent speaker. public speaking is all about slowing down. talking too fast is the #1 mistake made by people new to it. he's massively articulate and well-read...i can't imagine how interesting his internal monologue must have been...because his speaking was so poetic and covered so much ground.
