Hello boss man, 90% of the time you have to shorten your drives you 3 inches in make sure your yoke is a 27 spline the same as a TH 350,200R4, and to speed power glide. If you don't have anyone local we can do it for you for $90.00 that is shortening your driveshaft with balancing of course shipping is extra.

Thx for the video MD, solved the problem on my 200r4 in have in my 46 GMC. I was going to pull it and put in a TH350, five minutes later and it fixed! I will be looking for you guy's in the future for my transmission needs.

I`m a little confused as to how to adjust the tv cable.in this video, the only thing that needs to be done, is to open the throttle all the way, and the cable is adjusted? I got all the correct brackets for my holly, and the tv cable was too long, (so I purchased a cable stop like the one in the video to make it shorter) now do I even mess with the TV adjuster tab and slider? other resources say to push in the tab, move the slider. no matter what I do i cant seem to get good shifts.

Hello boss man, unfortunately you have the common 3-4 clutch failure this is the reason why we add extra clutches in the 3-4 gear drum and put a bigger boost valve to apply more pressure amongst a lot more upgrades. They also have plastic accumulators which we replace with aluminum. I wish I could've told you some good news there are a great transmission once you build them with all the updates.

Unfortunately you're right most people mistake the TV cable for only passenger they have no idea that operates the pressures of the transmission and yes you see lots of 700R4 TRANSMISSIONS fail because of that issue. When I bought my IROC, the motor was rebuilt 30k ago. The rebuilders forgot to adjust the cable (which takes 30 seconds) in which after 30k worth of driving and such, the trans started slipping. I readjusted the cable today and the assembly now sits roughly ½" further out than before. I believe this should help bring back some of the life of the trans. What sickens me is this is usually 90% of the reason transmissions lives are brought to an end. Everyone gets rebuilds, who readjusts TV cables?
