I love the movie, it's when of the best I've seen, but goddamn this trailer fucking butchers it. It's not a "funny" movie. It's a satirical story with bits of common relief in between.

a super fine movie, i watched this like two years ago and after watching it, I became so obliged to go to Bruges... but I thought that would never happen since I lived in East Asia... however... guess what... in 10 hours time, yeah no kidding, in 10 hours time I'm writing this comment, I'll be in Bruges!!!!!! this trailer shows something totally diffrent. those who want to watch a shooting scenes throughout the entire movie will be preety much disappointed and those who prefer other kinds of entertainment won't watch it because of the lame poster and absolutely not suitable trailer.. this is what is called a bad advertisement.

You are dead on about this movie. I always compare it to Lucky Number Slevin, minus the silly talk and crazy wallpaper. Both films contain hitmen, very funny dialogue, heart and take unexpected dark and dramatic turns. In Bruges is my favorite of the two. Mainly because of Brendan Gleeson. He is one of the most underrated actors working in film today. He brings so much to every movie he's in and has the ability to be heartbreaking and intimidating all in the same scene.
