  • why weren't this band massive?

  • check out Saigon-Where Are the Roses? It was a great time for music and many great bands who got little radio exposure at the time in 1979/80/81.

  • Amazing, but does anyone on the planet have the lyrics to this!?

  • what a brilliant t song...great guitar

  • 1:40 owwww my ears...

  • Scars must have been PISSED when the Libertines came out.

    This song is fucking incredible.

  • ANOTHER MAGNIFICENT LOST PUNK CLASSIC

  • Lemon Jelly really sampled this off directly. Pretty much the same song in fact!

  • Leaves me speechless even today. Superb.

  • DID HE DIED?

  • thudstaff operator..

  • Does everything post punk promised and exceeded that promise with a clearly defined aural attack.

  • I heard The Shouty Track by Lemon Jelly first... which I really enjoyed, but this is sick!

  • Anybody knows something similar to this? I don't like Scars too much but that one here is absolutey brilliant!

  • HOW CAN ANYONE prefer lemon jelly's version to this?? this is UNIQUE! does anyone have the lyrics? :c

  • brilliant memories, much preferred this to their other offerings, 'Georgie boy is dead, they said'

  • best guitar line. ever.

  • Was introduced to the former front man at a pub in Edinburgh the other night. He seemed to be baffled that younger people were interested in the band, but we have good reason to be!

  • FUCKING BRILLIANT

  • anyone have any ideas where to download this? i'd love to listen to this on the go

  • Oh class class class.

  • Superb song.....The guitar tone is chilling and a funk bass-line as well ! Complete. : )

  • Great stuff.Definite Fall influence here.

  • Wow, what a past I had this is one of many songs that were Big in my life... Thanks man.....

  • first time ive ever heard this song before...WHAT A FUCKING BASSLINE

  • I think that of all the songs based off of Clockwork Orange that I've heard, this one fits it the best.

  • Not on iTunes :(

  • i too still have the single and the fast comp. one of the most wicked guitar lines ever. this song was an instant favorite decades ago...and still is.

  • This is sadly not on Author Author. Weird that they left it off.

  • @iainboltic Made before Author Author and on a different record label. Take a look at my channel for more rare scars stuff.

  • Feller from The Robin Hood I met tonight --- whad'ya think? --- said it was two minutes of tuff bollocks didn't I? - Pete...

  • this is the end

  • This sounds so wierd. I'm so used to hearing this sampled on the shouty track!

  • Me too, but it isn't so bad. I didn't even know Shouty was sampling.

  • this single was amazing!! love the B side more tho......

  • So true man-heard it(Adultery)this week for the 1st time in 30+ years-still rocks like a monkey!

  • The production on this track is brilliant. Raw as fudge.

All this has been lost in the digital ear. Era I mean.

  • Fantastic, id say these are the ultimate lost band of the post punk period along with the feelies. Thanks very much. Do you know where i can get an mp3 version?

  • I know they've released Author! Author! on CD, so you could probably get it on MP3 format from there, otherwise I think it'll be very hard to find.

  • Thank you so much for uploading this!!! Much appreciated, such a classic!!! :D
