  • Cliff may well be playing,he did play guitar before he found fame, but his manager advised him to concentrate on singing.Apache is quite easy to play, but Hanks style and panache takes the song far beyond the actual notes played.

  • Great clip!

  • classic act! thumbs up!

  • The original 59 Fender Stratocaster that Cliff brought over from the states for Hank, gold hardware and maple neck, used on the original 1960 Apache. Bruce still has this guitar although it was respayed white back in the 70s, Bruce had it refinished to its original salmon pink, probably one of the most collectable/desireable Strats on the planet, 1 million pounds anybody?

  • hahaha, you just don't find musicians that good any more these days. and most of em don't have the kind of humor cliff and the shadows have.

    their really unique!

  • The guitar part is so simple even Cliff could play it!!

  • Is Cliff actually playing?

  • @MickeyLynott No, Cliff is not playing here, he is just pretending he is !!

  • @CliffShads Thanks man.I know it was slightly a silly question to ask but I know Cliff is quite good guitarist in his own right, although he isn't in Hank's league.

  • @CliffShads Now I would of said Cliff was playing this, basically cuz' there is quite a few mistakes... which we all know Hank wouldn't make!

    That's my opinion anyway ;)

    Regards,

    Robson

  • @CliffShads Yes, he is playing that guitar.

  • @MickeyLynott Of course Cliff is playing. That is why there are so many mistakes!

  • Great sense of humour guys, and Cliff, Hank's glasses suit you!

  • LOL eieiei

  • Very funny, yes lol where is this from please

  • This clip is from a special "the Cliff Richard Story" to celebrate Cliff's 60th birthday.

But where and when it was filmed I don't know exactly.

You can find the special on my peetgallee account.

  • It's from 'The Cliff Richard Show', 16th March 1961. I have the complete clip on a bootleg DVD. & I've just uploaded it to YouTube.

  • This is funny, thank you :oD
