Funny people say how "happy" these lions are. Did they tell you? 3 years ago this was filmed. Yesterday a lion at mgm attacked its trainer... oh yeah they're happy to be caged up in a little box (compared to what they need), and have people stick their fingers at them and torment them.

@BlueEyedWolf13 If you think about it dogs were wild too and were successfully domesticated so why not a lion? I'm not an expert on this but if you're true to your statement then you should be appalled by people keeping dogs too.

@JohnnyBoyCali You're comparing apples to oranges.. yes even my Shih Tzu is a decendent from wolves but they like "other" dogs have been domesticated. Lions haven't been. Took hundreds of years + to domesticate the "dog". Even people with wolves that think they are "pets" because they raised them from babies get attacked and killed.

@audreyoz , they live on a ranch . they just visit the mgm for half a day every week or so. That encloser is designed to be relaxing for them, even with the people they are not bothered.

They are classed as some of the happiest lions in captivety.

The lions and tigers at the mirage are like the ones i have seen in zoos and after seeing how relaxed the lions at the mgm are i see that they are no where near as happy as they should be.
