  • barefoot pedal pusching would be nice;)

  • what do you mean by "Me playing Chopin's "

    What is your name

    Do you have more recording?

  • i recently posted the same one i played

  • Sarah, Very nice rendition. I hope you are continuing your studies and by now may be on your way to graduating. I love this Nocturne, and had started studing this piece 40+ yrs ago. After a long break from the piano due to a career change I have got to playing and lessons. Hopefully, I will be able to start working on this beautiful Nocturne. Again, thanks for your video.

  • Great job sarah. I haven't seen you in a long time. Chopin is hard. Ive been learning some bach peices that ill upload sometime.

  • what? this is totally different from the happy version i know, i can't find it anywhere

  • Happy version? I'd like to hear that. Every rendition I've heard is serious and contemplative. My fav is Claudio Arrau. Good job abushakra!

  • No, actually that was my mistake. i was looking for nocture op.9 no. 2, not 1.

  • That's my Sarah! love that girl!

  • bravissima .. beautiful! By Italia!

    Emanuela Delfino

  • the next time you should do a barefoot pedal video;)

  • Very Nice

Was it from memory? Were there some incorrect chords in the left hand arpeggios in the first section and the wrong run down at the end?

  • thanks for the comment! Yes, it was from memory and I hadn't really played it in like a year. I just tried to rehash it in like a day before I played for these nice people at App. State. I'm certain there were memory slips and I had wrong notes... Thanks for watching though!

  • I think the most important thing is to keep going, which you did remarkably well, and I think you get away with the wrong notes because of the flow and emotion! I am trying to learn it but can't play it through yet - maybe when I can I'll be brave enough to post a version. I think it's my favorite piece anyway - and now I have a chance to listen to you again. Best Wishes for Christmas and 2008

  • Thanks so much for your kind words! I always try to keep going somehow when I have a memory slip. Good luck on learning it! It's a beautiful piece!

  • wow nice foot work need close up of pedal work please

  • whats the best way to practice those runs in the beginning? The part where it has the number 11 and 22 over the notes.

  • Well, it's well performed, but i don't like your position very much....You should stay straight....The chair is too tall for you and you should be more close to the piano....my opinion. But it's really great!

  • Good player, but the piano was out of tune in some notes.

  • The player is good but the camera man has destroyed everything; the camcorder is sometimes shaking. Why no close up?

  • ...the joy of playing the piano...

  • Nicely played. although i don't like the recording sound i'm pretty it would sound better live. I can play this piece as well, is this a grade 7 level piece? i wouldn't mind playing some other same grade songs like this.

  • work on making less mistakes (slow tempo). Ending phrase shoul not be loder than previous note.

    nice rubato

in the end you played one run not correct, i think

    What about the beginning????

  • you have emotion , I like it , where are u from ?

  • thanks! I'm from North Carolina but I go to school at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, SC.

  • It´s the original (URTEXT G Verlag LIKE) score?

  • Yeah, it's the Henle Urtext edition.

  • Well done! I love this nocturne, thanks!

  • the Db movement... lagging a bit... lighter, quicker a tad... less peddle in that section

    enjoyable

  • nice! love it

  • Beautifully and smoothly played! I hope the faculty agreed with my observations...

  • does anyone know how hard this is? i am grade 7 at the mo. would i be able to play it? it doesnt sound too hard. its lovely by the way. i love your playing.

  • Overall well played, even if the second part is lacking nuances. Few mistakes at the end.

    PS : I love your piano ...

  • nice playing

  • Beautiful
