This movie was so horrible. All it is is Julia cleaning the whole movie. Julia also does a horrible job on the accent. Sometimes she has it and other times she doesn't. You'd think an Academy Award winning actress who demands twenty million a movie could do better.

this was such a good film... i am the second generation of studying the liberal arts in my family (mom was an english major) and can't help but marvel at the beautuful deep screenplay... " it is a fracture within my soul" and other such lines were just deep...

I'm reading both books the original jekyll and hyde and mary reilly and I have to say the book creeps me out even more!

I know where this takes place in the movie, because of the clothes she's wearing. But it's very different from the book, so it's anyone's guess what this scene's about.

A lot of the stuff in the movie is...not great...But I actually liked Roberts' acting, and John Malkovich is just awesome in everything he's ever been in. Even if it had been a terrible movie it would've been worth watching for him being perfect as Jekyll AND Hyde.

i've watched this movie about three times on youtube, and it's one of my all time favorites! but i can't help but notice that some of the things said and done towards the end of this trailer did not occur in the film. like where he says: "he's waiting for me to sleep; he's waiting to destroy." and "whenever you're close to me, i feel him kicking at the door. GO!" is there an extended version?

I'm not so sure, as I've also only seen it uncut on youtube( too bad they took it down. Some things do happen in trailers that never make it into the official release of the movie, but I think they should have kept those lines.

I just watched this movie and mind you it was so amazing. Although Julia Roberts spoke badly since her accent wasn't "so-English" more American but she was perfect for the role. John Malcovich was so amazing too. He made the story more wonderful. It isn't scary as you may expect it to be but it was heart pounding. It was one of the saddest film I have ever seen. *Sigh*. :(

For once a passionate person now disillusioned in darkness that only now his passion is his courage. Though he speaks through her with his passion, his goodness, and through her he see's the evil. Amazing movie and way deeper than most ever want to go.
