  • I have a question!! So after you poor it into the containers then freeze it, how much of that do u feed ur gliders each night??? How long will it last?

  • @BREbear2211 All of this information is on our website. Please visit that for more details.

  • Wait, so how much do you feed to your glider and how long does it stay good i n the freezer? One last thing, do I just feed it to them cold?

  • @Retrograding All of this information is on our website. Please visit that for more details.

  • Hi! is the HPW diet good for pregnant gliders? please let me know thanks

  • @Lizbeth21000 The HPW Diet is great for nursing gliders and babies. It is recommended that the HPW powder in the diet be doubled (to 1/2 cup) when you have a nursing mom in the cage. There are notes about this in the recipe on our website.

  • @SweetSugarGliders awesome thanks for the info and the vid :)

  • Awesome video! I hard boil my eggs and add everything to the blender at once.

  • what type of honey did you use in this video? any particular types or brands for recommendation?

  • @wattadillyyo We use raw honey. It's not over-processed, so it still has most of the nutrients in it. Some gliders are picky about brands. Ours have not been.

  • so all i have to do is serve 2 tblspn of this per glider and thats the HPW diet? because you have another video with veggies and you use what you made in this video to pour on top of the veggies.

sorry im trying to find out the most i can before my suggie comes home. i get her in a month.

  • @theLATIIIshow No, there is more to the HPW Diet. This video just shows the making of the liquid part. Please visit our website for the full recipe.

  • Does the Honey need to be Organic? Also, is it a good idea to add some Rep-Cal into their diet as well so they get enough Calcium? I heard that Calcium deficiency can cause back leg paralysis.

  • @SaiphROdunno A calcium supplement is not necessary with the HPW Diet if you are feeding it with the right fruits & veggies. Please visit the "SSG Complete HPW Diet" link on our website for fruit & veggie recipes that work well with HPW. There are many debates about raw honey vs processed honey. I would recommend doing some research. We prefer honey that is not over-processed (straight from the bee farm) because the processing strips out the good nutrients.

  • what could be an alternative to the honey?

  • @pariscole Honey is an important part of the recipe as it contains a lot of great nutrients. I have heard of some people replacing all or part of the honey with applesauce. I wouldn't recommend doing this without good reason because it's not as nutritious.

  • I like this video it makes it so much easier.. the product online is nice, do I have to buy the bee pollen extra? and would I have to add any calcium or multivitamin extra to this diet or no.. I'm a new mommy, and I did read the page up and down but still confused.. just want to do right with my little one.

  • @SassyMustang1980 The bee pollen is also available online. We have bee pollen & HPW powder on our website. A calcium supplement is not necessary with the HPW Diet if you are feeding it with the right fruits & veggies. Please visit the "SSG Complete HPW Diet" link on our website for fruit & veggie recipes that work well with HPW.

  • I make BML with bee pollen, acacia gum and wombaroo and personally feel that would be more nutritious and has been used for a long time with positive results. The thing that worries me is that you microwave the eggs. You should never microwave anything for gliders. Microwaves distort the molecular structure of foods and adversely affect the immune system and more. Just my personal opinion :)

  • @theglidergoddess We do not always microwave the eggs, but do try to show people how easy the recipes can be. Also, microwaving allows you to make the eggs without adding any kind of oil or butter or getting them stuck to a pan. I have not ever heard that microwaving them causes any problems for gliders and our own gliders are healthy. However, I do understand that microwaving food is not always the best option & isn't how everyone will prepare them. The key is to scramble OR hard-boil them.

  • Wow this seems like a lot for a tiny animal. I don't even spend this much time on preparing my own food. But I bet it's worth it.

  • How often would you give them this

  • Daily. It is a main diet. Please visit our website for more info.

  • i love the video very helpfull just one question

how often do u fed them this i dont want to give my poor coco and peppermint to much sweets lol

also... what sould i feed them daily??

"what i do is i keep a dry Sugar Glider chow thingy in there bowls at all time and i give them some fruits and some kind of protine like an egg or sumtin like that"

is this good inuf for them or do they need more or less??

  • Please visit our website for good diet information. This recipe is not "sweets", it is a healthy option for a main daily diet. There is no dry food that will supply all of their nutritional needs. A good dry food can be used as a supplement/snack.

  • i've replaced the water with papaya juice to up the calcium ratio, and added a tiny bit of puppys milk for fat.

    (for my breeder girls)

We all differ slightly on diets, but quality is the main concern imo.

Check out my glider vids, I have quite a few.

    :)

  • Very helpful video. Just one question: Is all that honey good for them? I read somewhere that limiting simple sugars is important. There are sooo many views on diet info that it's really overwhelming for a new suggie owner.

  • Thanks. There aren't really that many views on diets. There are just quite a few diets to choose from. The ones listed on my website are all considered to be good balanced diets for gliders. This HPW diet was developed with help from a vet. Some do think it's too much honey & replace some of it with apple sauce. I don't think it's that much honey in relation to the whole diet. To see exactly what we feed with ours, please go to sweet-sugar-gliders(.com) and click on "SSG Complete HPW Diet".

  • This video was so helpful and my suggies absolutly loved it. You have no idea how much better we feel, knowing our gliders are getting the proper protein diet they need. Thanks so much for this video and look forward to any new videos to come. Thanks, Jennifer

  • I'm really glad to hear that our videos are helping people. I really appreciate the feedback. We do plan to put some more out as we have time & do have a few in the works now.

  • Where do you get the HPW powder and the Bee Pollen

  • I am just getting ready to open up my online store and do have these items in stock. Please send me a message if you need to order these items right away and I can get you my price list. Otherwise, please keep an eye out for my store to open up on my website (sweet-sugar-gliders).com. I hope to have it all online within the next week or two.

    Thanks,

    Misty

  • what dose HPW stand for?

  • As the name of our video suggests, HPW stands for High Protein Wombaroo. It's the name of an ingredient used in this diet. It is made in Australia.

    Misty

  • It's really sweet of you to help The Sugar Gliders and people by showing them how to do this.

  • Thanks. We're trying to do our part to help educate people about sugar gliders as pets.

    Misty

  • Wow! This is so helpful! Thank you so much for making this video.

One question, where might one find australian bee pollen? That seems somewhat exotic!

  • Bee pollen and HPW powder (as well as many other items) are available through our website at sweet-sugar-gliders(.com).
