Kids from yesterday were smarter than kids from today: not one of us ever swallowed a plastic animal.

Awesome...reminds me of the time I got the "Trough" for my seventh birthday at Farrells. If you ate the whole thing (two banana splits served in a wooden trough) you got a button that said, "I made a pig of myself at Farrells". I finished the last bite, proudly collected my button, and proceeded to give the whole trough back, in less solid form, all over the table. Happy Birthday!

Holy cow! I heard they were big but 8LBS!?!?!? That's too much for 1 person obviously. Is it true that they used to put little plastic animals in the "zoo" until kids started swallowing them by mistake?

Think I remember the plastic animals, and they were easy to spot. Not surprised they got removed though.

Reminds me of my youth when I worked for Farrell's back in the 1970s. Those were the days!

Never worked at one, but went quite a few times as a kid in the 70's.
