  • but what happend if i want to use it in really hot places? Works? Like LA,Miami?

Seems cool for a places that its not to hot. :p

  • $300!?!? Get an Air conditioner!

  • i want one so bad!! living in the south, we don't get nice breeze..we get humidity and heat.

  • congrats...these things are amazing. even the floor-standing one looks good.

  • This thing isn't cool because I don't have one.

  • is it loud?

  • Needs a beep

  • Yeah I get what you mean, the sound is amplified by the mic and room acoustics and isnt a true reflection on the fan. Its a very innovative design I can see these being a big hit for Dyson.

  • @TheChalkychalk In Australia, it's taken 60% of the table fan market, and UK sales have just increased by 300% - I'm sure Dyson are thrilled!

I love mine; during the hot weather this week, it's been running day and night!

  • @vintagehoover If we continue to get this hot weather in the UK I think I will invest in one myself Ive just looked at a few vids on here, and I have got to say they are brilliant. Some one was saying its a design based on an old patent by Heri Coanda All I can say is if it cools you down in the hot weather I dont care who invented it.

  • I thought it sounded quite loud, it is a cool fan though pardon the pun :)

  • i want one of these it would be perfect in my room , its always 20 degrees warmer in my room then the whole house and i need something that is gonna push the air out my window so it will be cool

  • i got a question about the dyson fan: does it blow out hot air aswell as cold air?

  • No, only cold. It's a desk-fan, not a space heater.

  • @Parwaz786 I think they just came out this something just like this but shots out hot air not cold.

  • I might wait till a little longer than that as I reckon they will stil lbe very expensive.

I am assuming the air flow is very similar the airflow that would come out of a kirby filler tube. Smooth air flow as the fan keeps a consant pressure air flow.

  • INterested in getting one but there not worth £200!

  • The impellar is similar although on a vacuum the impellar is not as high as this.

  • The impeller on a normal vacuum cleaner comprises of a number of vanes sandwiched between 2 metal disks.

The fan in the Air Multiplier is similar - visually - to the 3-dimentional, turbocharger-style impellor used on the Dyson Digital Motor, but again, it is distinct from this.

It features 9 asymmetrically-aligned fins covered in rows of tiny holes, to reduce friction where high- and low-pressure air collides.

Different to either a direct-air or clean-air vacuum fan as it could be!

  • I want one!

  • watts?

  • 40w

  • 40W max, whats min? fast enough flow rate? is it loud annoying? or was that cuz camera was very close to noise source? interesting device :D

  • いくら面白い製品でも

    今更高額な扇風機を買いたいとは思いません。

    でも見てみたい・・・触ってみたい・・・のは事実w

  • Google translator gives me:

    'Also how much fun products

今更expensive to buy an electric fan is not.

I want to touch I want to see the facts but w'

  • 音に関しては従来のものとあんまり変わらないような気がする。

    あとは、電気代がどのくらいかかるかだな。

    扇風機の羽に指挟んで怪我したことあるからこの商品はありがたい。

  • Google translator says:

'Regard to the sound and feel much the same as before.

Rest, that's how much electricity it would take.

This product across from a finger injury that fans will love the wings.'
