Volkswagen's self parking system is more easy than lexus,, in vw tiguan only push a button and all is automatic .... ! in lexus you need do a configuration ( large configuration ) :D i prefer german cars , audi, bmw, mercedes, and porsche, because the german engineering is much better .... It's very cool technology, but also very impracticle. For one, anyone whose parking skills are so poor that they would use this option, are most likely far too stupid to actually be able to figure it out and make it work. If you can't park a car, I highly doubt you can run such a sophisticated program, in a car, with numerous impatient people waiting for you.

haha, true, it did come close, but you have to think about it logically, first you could always let it "Clip" the vette and blame Lexus, and collect millions for heartache and suffering. OR! you could just learn how to use the system :-). it took you so long, because your new at it. second, it's called PARK ASSIST, it was never really meant to "drive itself" it's just helpful for those tight spots. third, the 600HL is one of the most advanced vehicles out there. just some thoughts. :-)

I wish that were the case. But the Lexus would have completely clipped the other car if we had let it go on it's own. We found it to be accurate in only 2 out of 5 attempts. Accuracy improved with longer spaces, but those were spaces anyone could have pulled into not requiring the vaunted parking assist. Of course maybe you do need it for those spaces explaining your success.
