For some reason, I can picture this song being a solo track for Phil. It sounds like something from "But Seriously..." I guess it's 'cause many of the tracks on it were protest songs like this one. It's just bad that despite strong record sales, music critics claimed "We Can't Dance" sounded too much like a "Phil" album rather than a "Genesis".

Apart from the overproduction of this song (and maybe this CD) when you break it down to basic tracks there are really some good songs on I can't dance. Not as Epic as the 70's stuff but good in a songwriters perspective. Driving the last spike I will argue is the best on this CD

Every song from we can't dance was rehearsed for the WCD tour but i think Way Of The World and Living Forever were the only ones that made it to the end of the rehearsals as the Dallas bootleg says it's from May '92 and the clip of Living Forever says it's from April '92.

Knowing the song from an album is one thing - but seeing these images whilst listening to it, gives a chill of the reality of it.

Yet we almost grow cold to images like these - we see them time and time and tend to forget them again whilst our own comfortable life goes on.
