Sorry but animals, especially big cats, are not ours to use or bother. Also, she was wearing a damn fur hat. Don't you think that may have signaled the lion that she was prey? Umm, yup.
@mrl0p3z Even if it was baby's breath, animals, especially big cats, are not ours, to use, torture, skin or anything else. That hat of baby's breath, if it was that, you schnook, could easily have been viewed as a fur hat by the lion. Do a bit of research on animal behaviour before you open that ignorant mouth of yours.
@rawmark Go fuck yourself, asshole. You're giving raw foodists a bad name. How about getting a life and not wasting whatever you have that passes for one by scouring youtube for any mention of animals so you can post some screed that isn't relevant to anyone else who may want to watch a video. Judging by how quickly you responded, you must really have nothing fucking better to do at all.
This video fascinates me for the same reason it does most people: seeing these 3 TRUE LEGENDS together, all three having passed to the other side, is amazing. Woulldn't you like to see a clip like this on the BET or NAACP Image Awards?
I don't think the Lion wanted to hurt her either, he just most likely wanted to embrace her. She has such a beautiful spirit he just couldn't help himself.
@bigresonance I was thinking the same thing-that he must have picked up on some kind of scent on her.
She kinda looked like she sensed something was going to happen before it did...especially the way she then tucked her neck into her shoulders-to protect her jugular, I guess. Humans all have inbuilt instincts whether we realize it or not.
Yeah, that would scare the shit out of me. When that lion looked over the arm rest, Minnie kinda backed away, and the lion probably sensed fear, so it attacked. Luckily it appears it was fairly tamed, because it didn't keep on going, it ran away. Wild animals are exactly what they are called, wild. I don't think I would get near a lion unless it was heavily sedated, and half asleep. They are no joke, but neither are monkeys, so oh well.
Minnie died of breast cancer in 1979. She was a spokes person for breast cancer, and encouraged women to examine themselves. In those days it was taboo for women especially in show business to talk about this subject.
@PANIKIADO12 WTF??? if you do not live in an English speaking country I suggest you try communicating in your native language (would Nigerian be a good guess) - otherwise try spending more time in school and less stealing pensioners shopping bags.
@hidoll22That's the way how human being value fly away from our heart, without have the chance to enjoy the wonderful company. Life's short my friend, the time is our enemy if we dont take advantage of it. Lord bless us. Amen.
Wow, what show was this? Minnie is so beautiful and she's such an adorable person. Seems like we've lost all the greats. Entertainment is in Heaven now because that's where all the greats are. I can't wait to experience it again. *sighs*
He started licking his lips, and salivating when she sat down. Oh, he was really sneaky with it, too, first easing up, resting his head on the arm of the chair, and then lunged at her.
That's the late William B. Williams, the great disc jockey at WNEW-AM, at the end. He's the one who, at 2:01, asks "Minnie, did they ever figure out why the lion went for you?" RIP Willie B.
@mysterymediacorp It's a joke. He was rumored to have fallen off a cliff in New Zealand the same day Farrah and Michael died. It was even seriously reported by a couple news stations. Just a joke. Tasteless, sure. But a good one. xD *snicker, snort*
lol thats what supposed to happen...ITS A LION! its not supposed to be in a commercial, its supposed to be in a jungle somewhere hunting zebras wildebeests.
I'm glad it didn't hurt her. a great dane tried to hump me once but I don't think that compares to a LION attack. lol
i had to read this a 2nd time to realize that u R probably responding 2 'ualreadyknew'.
BUT at 1st i thought the "dum.,...,b..tch" part in quotes was ur comment .
Unfortunately it could be read that way. WHICH IS TOO BAD, because, although i never read 'ualreadyknew''s comment (b/c it's ALREADYGONE ! )(HA!) i AM glad it's gone.
And if I am reading things correctly now , i agree w/ ur comment about the tragic-ness of those kind of ignorant comments.
it's not that I don't believe in freedom of speech, i believe we have to be ready to defend even the most offensive speech if we are going to genuinely keep freedom of speech.
But in this forum i think these hate fueled comments don't have to do with someones desire to express themselves.
They seem to me to just be a meanness looking to hurt or provoke people who the writer dislikes or feels superior to, or both.
Rather than a desire to communicate to others, it's a desire to lash out .
So perfect to have Richard Pryor above these comments.A GREAT(!) artist who's career is an excellent example of the necessity of free speech.
In th end ,its always opinion/assumptions as to whether there is an attempt to communicate vs. to only,or PRIMARILY ,to violate. I don't want to only feel aggression/defensiveness (their's or mine?)so the comments are moments I try to see my tolerance or intolerance
and how incredibly fast and strong these reflexive reactions are ; valuable knowledge.
Yup. Her passing was certainly a point when all time stopped. You could not beleive the passing of such a beautiful person.
But hey, Sammy had a talk show?! ow weird. That really bring you back in time. And I think it wasn't so bad to look back and laugh at such a dangerous moment.

I'm 40 and I didn't know he had his own show either! Minnie was so sweet and humble. But most of the artists from back in the day seemed to be more humble and grateful just to have the opportunity to showcase their talents and do what they LOVE. These artist today act like they shyt don't stink, and most of them are grossly OVERRATED and not as talented as the ol'skool artists!!!

Why are these asses laughing? Because it's a comedy show?

I think Sammy DJ did something we don't see, and the audience is laughing at him, not the clip.

Damn I'm 36 and this is when I was a small child, but never knew that Sammy had a talk show.
