It was an amputee hospital- that was the reason for ramps between buildings and between floors. The students use to joke that they threw all amputated body parts under the ramps. In the 1980's, German tourists started visiting the campus for grandpa to show where he was a POW during the war. The German POW's were the groundskeepers and they all enjoyed their time there.

i attended that school ..i was in the last graduating class there back in '82, it was creepy back then too ...i was told it was for men who were terminal...they were used as guinea pigs for nuclear testing and sent to bushnell to study the after effects of being exposed to radiation

FYI- I live in Brigham City. Don't know if you know this- but the buildings that are left standing are going to most likely be torn down this summer. That land has been bought by Utah State University. The college is planning to expand their extension to that area. They will be putting in new buildings, so all of the old ones that aren't currently being used have to come down.

@BkCX1 The building that is burned is the most haunted one. A lot of stuff happened there. If you go in around 2am that's when the most stuff happens. My dad said that it was a hospital in WWII then the Indian school. He said there were devil worshipers there after the school closed.

I live in brigham city and these Indian schools aren't as scary as you make it seem with the music. A homeless person set one of them on fire while trying to keep warm and all that's left are the outer walls. That's the scariest place here

Actually, there's just something dark there. Kinda like a wiji board.... My friends and I have been there. We didn't go inside, but it's scary. You really shouldn't go inside. It's not structurally safe and there actually aren't many gangs or bums there. Another good reasons is that it's trespassing.

Me and 3 other guys put up most of those plywood panels on the windows in the dorms that were closed then(1978),and put them on all end windows near entrances because the students were always breaking out window. I can't believe they are still there after 32 years.

I worked there back between Feb 3-Aug.3,1978 on a CETA contract.Was one of the most interesting jobs I ever had. I remember I had to go in the basements and open all of the wall vents in all of the buildings. It took 3 days. Had to go through the tunnels where the steam lines were to get to alot of them

IndianaBishop is do like your videos of the old boarding school, it would be cool if you were to show pictures of the boarding school, when it looked nice and life was once present then flip to it to now..Deserted! So veiwers get and idea of what it looked liked before and after. Your local library does have yearsbooks from back in the day, that is were I got my family high pics from, surprisingly my family was very active with the school life there. From 1969 to 1982

And for a Boarding School, it was a nice place a one time, and those pics you see in the walls, were drawn when the school went interibal, after 1974. From what I was told this boosted alot of native spirits for students, who did not go home on weekends and for special days like Peach Day, followed by repainting the the I on the mountain. My family was assigned of that, soo proud! The music you have is embelishing the hospital/school, to be a scary place, is just little too much.

haha thanks, I was more worried about gangs and drugged up bums. It should be noted that during WWII only men who were wounded in combat were treated here, including men who were wounded in Normandy, they were here at the hospital with in days of the battle.
