I always feel like an idiot after watching these videos. I forgot that the riot gun special weapon could tear down a building. Once I saw that, I was able to get unstuck on this level.

Japan is the fastest in most of the stages among the three factions,but in this stage Soviet can be faster.

Build some twinblade and carry the X-1 to the islands and they will finish them off in about a minute

Tips if some of you choose to rush unsuccessfully: choose Japan faction, quickly build 2 gold factories then build war factory. Don't bother to defend gold factories. Next quickly build 6 or 8 mecha tango flying unit. Get 2 of them for each gold factories to guard. Then you see the blue mother***** stop bombing you for awhile. Get the next 2 gold factories on the south side of your base with same tactic then build some metatango and attack missile flying machines then rush to the bases.

I have a question....

If Future Tank X-1 is not yet available once the Commander's Challenge "Future Warfare" must be completed, how come there are already 2 sets of Future Tanks during the start of the game?

@BlackEagle351 Challenge-specific settings, like the unlimited Commando units thing from the "The Omega Program" challenge, where one unlocks Yuriko Omega. This is the reason the 4 Futuretanks already exist for the player.

Love your videos, I play this on the PS3 and just realse how much quicker you can manage everythink on PC :).

A better method for this is build as soviets and create twinblades. With these you can pick up the future tanks and bypass all of the defenses and cross the sea with ease.

@J0sh258 I bet you used the Red Alert button. When you use that button, your time is automatically set to 99:59. If you want the actual time to count, do not use the Red Alert button.

Love Your vids! It's like a Master Class in Rush Warfare... I have no idea how you are microing your Future tanks, tho. When I try that, the Telsas take down at least one of my robots. But you set them to attack and leave them alone, and they take out the telsas while you are on something else... Is there some special planning move you do there or something?

@MarkJoel60 Thanks for the kind words. What I do is that I waypoint the Future Tanks. But first, I set them up so that they will take out the two spectrum towers (or teslas) simultaneously, that way each tower will only hit each tank one time and they will survive and autorepair. Next I set the future tank to attack with their secondary attack on the spectrum towers by a waypoint (hold ALT). Then I waypoint a move command to move away from the towers.

Continuing: Then I take out the towers on the other side of the map in the same way. Then I go back to the first two tanks and take out the last two towers in the same way. By switching back and forth, the tanks have time to repair. You see the process from 1:25 (except the destruction of the towers, because then I start microing the tanks on the other side of the map). It is essential to keep all four future tanks alive, otherwise - it is hard to finish the challenge in less than 5 minutes.

i tried a giga fortress build and destroyed 3 bases then they wiped all my buildings out and i lost..... >:( i only got like 4 out but thats enough to kill all of them its just time i needed. thanks for the help on this one anyways.

@JointScorrer I experienced that the vindicators (from Giles) were more interested in bombing my ore refinery to kingdom come.. What are your timings relative to mine and whose vindicators bomb your future tanks? If it is from the owners of the spectrum turrets, I think you can manage to get inside to their base faster and target fire the airfield (if it built, if not target fire war factory with one tank's secondary ability, barracks and then mcv with the other tank's secondary ability).

I dont know why you have problems with them. I just choose one future tank and uses its secondary ability (by hiting F) on the tower. Done and done. At the same time, I do the same for the next tower. Then I move back. When the secondary ability has cooled down, I repeat with the next two towers. You are sure you use the secondary ability (the two beams) and not the primary ability (the ball of energy)?

thats what i do but i have it for the 360 you dont have a mouse and you cand hit the f buttion its very diffrent in it takes a while to do esspeshally if your trying to make 1 of your 50 units do something diffrent than the rest of trying to make units use powers on diffrent targets

For the PS3, the shortcut to use a selected unit's secondary power is R1+Square, so I would assume that it's RB+X on the 360.

I use the key "w", I think it is default. You must choose one VX, then hit "w" you get all VXs on the screen. Hit "w" once more and get all VXs on the map. Then Ctrl+1, if you want them in group 1.

I've watched this like 10 times and I still can't figure out how come your FutureTanks survive the Prism Towers.

You must assign one FutureTank to one tower. Also make sure that they attack at the same time. after the attack you MUST drive them back, for the Riot Beam to recharge. Then do it again. You take first two prism towers, then the second two.

I too can't manage to accomplish this feat, I either get my tanks blown up by the towers, or failing that I suddenly have to fight off 8 vindicators and my mecha bay isn't done yet. Usually I have both problems at once. I guess I just don't have the great macro required to do this mission :(

I did this under par as Soviets using The Future Tanks,Twinblades and Migs. It sucks that i lost all the future tanks (Damn Vindicators and Cryocopters) but destroyed both Hill and Lydia's Conyards after that i focused on Giles since he builds Proton Colliders using Migs to camp his airbases on each of his base then Twinblades finish the job. Once both his bases is destroyed finish the left overs of Hill and Lydia's when all the future tanks were destroyed and not yet defeated

How the hell did you get two future tanks to take on the spectrum towers? I've tried it over and over and there's no way they can do it!

You use the riot beam, their secondary ability. It one-shots most buildings, except the Construction Yard. At 2:45 I use two future tanks to take out the ConYard of Purple/Pink with the riot beam. Just use the same on the spectrum towers.
