all in all its a fun mission..even tho its unwinnable

They used foreigners to avoid losing men by doing "Top Secret" missions known only to the high-ups. When you assassinate Gakumba, They declare you a traitor. Remember, these are the men that gave you money to begin with, they don't care about some rough stone.

You know that you can have 6 buddies in the first act 1. you get 3 from the tutorial, 2 more buddies can be saved in one of thses locations slaughterhouse, fresh fish, lumber or cock fights and the final sixth one can be saved by a plance crash were you must heal him.

well i figured out, when u kill a buddy, you go for a while without any buddy missions or people to save u, untill the guy standing outside the faction tells u to rescue someone, that person u rescue wil be ur next buddy, but the game organizes these sequences in a script, for example, at 25% through tha game, u get a new buddy, after a while ur buddies start disapearing, and the game organizes it to where if u did kil all ur buddies, by the time u did, it would be this part (video) of the game

U cant survive, i had six buddies in the bar, they all get "killed" but they all come back at the end of the game unless u executed them urself or they od' on morphine, everyone says u have to kill them at the end, u dont u can just grab the diamonds and run, but after the jackal (or you) destroys the ridge they are trapped in the country/

lol when i played this game, i saved game every single time the player was meant to make their own decision, like here. that way i could go back and try both methods of completing the game so i know what happens xD. i still haven't tried saving the church people yet, though.

last mission in the northern district we either had to go to the church or mike's bar . so i chose mikes bar so there i went in and we all died but they were missing and i survived. i fell off a truck and the jackal found me again

omg that didn't happen to me, i didn't go inside the bar i just killed everyone outside then i went in and then more came and we all killed them, then me and my buddies went to kill Leon Gakumba but it was a trap and one of my buddies told me that he was sorry and then he injected me with sumthing, then i woke up in a house where the jackal was helping me out with a scar or sumthing, afterwards he ran away and i got new buddies.

i did this twice to see if i could save them or not, and if you go to your friends they end up dying, as in the video.

but if you go to the church and save the priest it is considered that you abandon your buddies and at one point in the heart of darkness they find you and ambush you...so they die either way, unless you suck at farcry 2 that is

Because, you're in their way. The Jackal suddenly became a good guy and he wants to lead all innocent remaining civilians out of the country. To be able to do that he needs a suitcase containing very valuable diamonds to bribe the boarder guards. Your buddies get there first and decide to eliminate you. They need those diamonds to get out of the country themselves.

These diamonds in that suitcase aren't included with the diamonds scattered across the Far Cry 2 world. These diamonds in that suitcase are for the mission, you can't use them to buy anything. Your buddies indeed betray you, but of course they will regret that. Thanks to the Jackal the innocent people do escape Africa and in the end you see a message of a report that says the Jackal has been killed even though his body is nowhere to be found. Perhaps this open ending has been made for a sequel.

I counted the corpses there were 11. When i had 14 buddies. And i didn't put any to rest. THe flora girl the girl you meat on the boat and the guy with the red bandana wasn't there. So far I completed the game twice and I always had to kill all my buddies except two of them. You didn't have to kill 3 of them, so I guess that's randomly decided.
