I am not knocking on what people enjoy but I have one question... Why do import guys beleive they have to rev out their engines to 9000rpms to launch? DO you import guys actually buy stronger axles for these type of launches? Just wondering because you max the revs out at the light and when you go, the rpms drop to the rpm where it actually rises so wouldnt you think a mere 5.5krpms is better than bangin the limiter? I am not knocking, it's a question I have been wanting to ask for a while.

@Blood1Zero well as far as I know, there was never a 240sx in Japan. There was a 180sx, an S13, S14, S15, and 180sx with S13 front end called the "Sil-Eighty", and there was also the 200sx. So to call it a 240sx S13 is an incorrect term. We know what you mean, you have an American 240sx with whatever else S13. Just wanted to notify you on that lil bit. Maybe just some obscure knowledge for you, or fun fact if you will.

@24okay See i was under the impression that the 180sx and silvia were the Japanese models the 200sx was the European model and the 240sx was the american model. i was also under the impression that the S13 (1989–1994), S14 (1995–1998), and the S15 (1999-2002) were the names used to show what generation of the s-series chassis you had. So when the first guy said that he has a stock 240sx s13 he is just specifying which s-chassis he is driving and what generational model he has. or an i wrong?

@thepenguin29 that does make it a little faster each shift true but its hard on the clutch and wears it out faster. i do that with my motorcycle but the clutch on bikes is a wet one so it cant burnout really unless you try. its like a little mini launch each shift but doesnt make to big of a dif not enough to wear the clutch faster atleast.
