Hearns was the best fighter of the 80's he use the wrong strategy against hagler. Hearns was a better fighter more skilled. Hearns was ahead before the stoppage against Leonard and beat him at the rematch. Hearns a true champ : all the boxing skills you can have hearns had it + speed + power + a pure body for fighting terrific long arms. I wait for a fighter like him for a long time but i think it won't happen. There is and will be only one Thomas Hearns !

No sour grapes, all credit goes to Hagler! If hearns used the wrong strategy against hagler, that was his fault not haglers. Great fighters should know how to think on their feet. Hagler, Hearns, Leonard were all unique in their own way and there will never be another fighter like them!

Easy, Hearns beat a dehydrated malnurished Roberto Duran. As a result, he walked into the Hagler fight with a false sense of security. The Duran in Montreal would have knocked Hearns out in one round.

Hearns should have just boxed,but he was all heart.I think he had a good chin.He just not only had the habit of nullifying his physical advantages by being foreman instead of ali ,but he also had a horrible habit of admiring his work too long.But without those weaknesses,he wouldn't have been in so many great fights.Thanks hitman!Hagler was a relentless,granite chinned warrior.Great GREAT FIGHTER! Look, Paquiao is a great fighter no doubt ,but he would not beat Hagler or Hearns at 160 nor do I think he'd beat Hearns at 147 or Pryor at 139 or Either Leonard or Robinson at 147. I remember seeing this fight at the Civic Center in our hometown. This is the best middleweight round that I can recall, both could easily handle what we have now in that division. Standing ovation, no one was sitting after this round ended.
