All have sinned and greatly offended the holy God of the bible. The just punishment is death then hell. That's not Gods will. He suffered and died on the cross paying for the law you broke in His life's blood so He could legally dismiss your case. You must repent turn from your sin and trust alone in Jesus Christ for your salvation.
you think satan is not real? are you kidding me? how can you believe in God and not in satan. that is like believing in angels and not demons. its contradictory and naive. dont kid yourself. he is completely real and has a God given dominion over this earth.
According to God's word, the enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy. Satan has two objectives; 1) to blind humanity from eternal truth -- that God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son that whosever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life -- and 2) to oppress the believer to the point that their walk with Jesus Christ is neutralized, in other words, to make them ineffective. Ignorance of Satan's strategies is dangerous, knowledge is power.
@adiostraitorobama He said Satan was real... if Satan is real, god is not omnipotent nor benevolent. Not to mention Satan is just as ridiculous a concept as dust devils (djinn), norns, frost giants, and goblins.
Um...he appears to misunderstand the Christus Victor doctrine. Assuming I understand it rightly, it's a theory of the atonement which basically says that Christ's sacrifice destroyed the law because it put an innocent man to death, thereby freeing humanity from said law. It is supposed to be an alternative to other theories like penal substitute or substitutionary atonement. Although, I have heard some people incorporate elements of it into other theories.
@stitch99 That is one aspect to it. However, the terminology Mark Driscolls is referring to was developed by Gustaf Aulén when he brought back the ransom theory preached by the early church. It basically states that Jesus Christ (of course, along with the atonement) defeated the Devil when He died on the cross and gave us back the authority over the Devil, in other words, freed us from bondage of sin, death, dark forces. Mark Driscoll has an in deapth insight in this subject. Watch the whole ser
@mookeychase0907 Yes, it is possible. There are many possible causes but it could be when one becomes a threat to evil spirits, or when one becomes spiritually sensitive, he can sense an evil spirit. And of course, you're supposed to rebuke it.

@wiznup "Knowledge is power." coming from a Christian. Really ?
Who denied knowledge to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden ? God.
Who gave them knowledge about them and the world ? Satan "disguised" as a Snake.
Who got angry when he noticed that his slaves started thinking for themselves ? God.
Who wants to help us advance spiritually ? Satan.
Satan means knowledge and thinking for yourself. Satan loves all of you and wants to help you advance as a human, but God wants to keep his slaves.

@Azumongo
That's actually a good and eye opening point you made.
God gives wisdom and satan gives Knowledge
Knowledge is a worldly investment where wisdom is investment for the kingdom of God.

@adiostraitorobama No Mark Driscolls is saying christians can not be possed. Seeing an evil spirit and being possessed by one are totally different.

This is such deluded drivel. What morbid manipulation of a mans understanding of reality results in this type of insanity? Oh yeah, religion.
