Si these guys just went on strike a couple months ago? Aaah, zii, I wont support a second strike within the period of a year. Why didnt you make these demands last time? One strike and you're out!!
@sirjonduke Sounds like they're strking becasue some of their prievious demands were signed off on to fend them off and no action was taken. It's the same story all around unkept promises. Inflation is high, there's shortage of teachesrs more students, delapitated classrooms, yet the govt wants to get a lot and give the least they can get away with. So let them hit the streets! Mps should get a pay cut and cut down on the cost of seats they set their lazy bums on
Have Kenyans finally found their long lost backbone or is this our Achilles heel in disguise?
We may not be able to imitate the Arabs in uprisings but we definitely know how to "Strike Kenya until it hurts (no pun intended)" when our money/salaries/pay is interfered with
It is your right to strike. If the judiciary and doctors can have better terms, why not teachers? If parliamentarians cannot pay tax and still award themselves pension, then why not teachers? It is a shame meeting teachers who taught you awhile back broke because all their monies are tied to loans whose interest rates have skyrocketed because of the CBK governor-Ndung'u, a voodoo economist. Demand better! especially now the Cabinet wants to stiffle any pay rise by civil servants.
