  • The best portugese entry ever!!!

  • Esta canção é simplesmente linda! And thank you foreigners for the nice comments :)

  • A nossa linda música Linda Paixão de Dulce Pontes, cantada em português,se calhar se fosse cantada em Inglês,teríamos ganho.Mas a nossa língua portuguesa é linda.....

  • Unfortunately the only thing that STILL matters is the political games backstage and the amount of neighbors one has.Since Portugal never had either and this won't change,we will continue to lose contest after contest. It doesn't really matter if we have great songs or not,or if we have english lyrics (Rita Guerra in 2003) because we're never appreciated. In my opinion I think we should continue with the portuguese lyrics (being them mixed with english or not).At least we lose in our own language

  • I'm sorry,I have to comment again....8th ??????? hahaha,these eurovision contests are a laugh !!! anyway,Portugal,don't be sad,this is pure magic !!

  • @midblue2124: But that was a 8th place after a decade of Portugal not even reaching the top 10, so what do you do?

  • what is this....?? my good lord, this girl has A voice!!! did she win ?? I didn't even know this....top marks !!!! bravo

  • @midblue2124 she didnt win. she was on 8th place

  • 20 ans déjà

Dulce chantait et je m'étais pris à rêver que cette fois ce serait la bonne pour le Portugal. Elle aurait dû être scandinave.

Tant pis, ça reste un grand moment d'eurovision

  • This is the best song in 1991!

  • The second best song after Sweden's!

  • What a wonderful, soulfull song, what a wonderful singer. Had she only been french, irish or english she would probably have won.

  • @SRJ1DK : Yes, I'm afraid that's true. Which is why the language rules were changed. That still hasn't helped Portugal much though. But they also mostly send entries in Portuguese.

  • Goodness this takes me back. I really thought this was going to win. Even now looking back 20 years it was by far the best song of the night and deserved a higher place. Still a wonderful song!

  • @pauluk72: Unfortunately, 8th place is really good for Portugal, no matter how good the song is. I mean, their highest placing ever is a 6th, and they've competed since the 60s without winning.

  • @Furienna And THAT makes it alright to be scandalously underrated over and over? Why are you undermining us?

  • @nunovski20011: No, I never said that. I'm not undermining anyone. On the contrary, I'm commenting on how wrong the juries of other countries have been many times, not giving your entries more points than what they did.

  • 20 anos, muito mudou sera que pa melhor?

  • Linda!

  • Isto é tudo uma vigarice!

  • Thing is, from all the singers in this ESC 1991, only Dulce Pontes became a true world star as she is. Others were forgotten, may be except Sergio Dalma from Spain that also reached his position internationally. Regardless, this is one of the most beautiful songs ever in an Eurovision Song Contest.

  • Beautiful voice and song! Very disappointed 8th place!

  • linda cançao

  • this deverved to be top-3 IMO

  • Poor Portugal... They send masterpieces like this and still only come 8th. It was their first top 10 entry since 1980 though.

  • @Furienna Poor why?? I am very proud of seeing my country reaching 8th with this song as it was a rare thing for us back then ... Dulce had one of the best songs that night and she has been able since to extend a 20 year old careear singing thoughout Europe her music ... that is what I call a true "victory" ....

  • @Furienna yes indeed this entry and the entry at 1997 were THE BEST entries from portugal ever
