Just to let you know that all three of my cats suffered permanent kidney damage from an apartment smoke alarm test. One died a month later. I arrived home to find the fire dept on scene and alarms going off with no warning or prior notice so I could remove my pets the day before. My cats started vomiting and were frightened out of their minds. Yes, loud noises can do more damage to your cat than you could ever dream. One of my cats hid under the bed and died four days later.
