He was proved to kill his girlfriend and got the appropriate sentence. How is this about white people vs black ? Are you saying he got too much time for murder because he's a black guy? I think the Judge was giving him a hard time to put pressure on him, it's his first murder case, the judge needs to see if this guy has the minerals to see this case through, without pressure he won't become a good prosecutor, he will become lazy

I think the jury got this right. But that Judge is a disgrace to his profession. The way he treated the lawyers, evidence and the jury was terrible. Knowing he was being filmed I expect he was on his BEST behaviour.
To be honest with everyone... In an abusive relationship, the abused person always tries to let everyone know (specially the family) that they are happy... This case makes me sick because I was a victim of domestic violence and I always hid it from my family. When my ex-husband use to beat me I would cover my face so I wouldn't get any bruises... and I would tell everyone how happy I was... but in honesty I was miserable, and when I finally spoke up everyone was shocked...
That was real interesting, first time ive seen it. The judge had some un-known chip on his shoulder! im glad they found him guilty, I didn think there was enough for 1st degree but luckily with the firearm and the strikes he is gonna serve more than if he had just got 1st..lol
Well focussed prosecution, in that the evidence was largely circumstantial. The evidence regarding the defendant drawing and pointing his gun at police who, 4 all he knew cd have been a simple traffic stop, shows consciousness of guilt. This act shd have been allowed as evidence b4 the jury too I reckon. Good outcome. The modern jury is not easily fooled.
