I didn't like that 2 thumb trick to see what eye is more dominant, thought best way with to put both hands in front of your face making a small hole in middle with both eyes open and arms length out aim at something then slowly bring your hands back and the hole will align with whatever eye your more dominant with....But every video explains most important part is all about practice, then you can shoot any way you like or most comfortable with.. Good video though

i am right handed but left eye dominant, i cannot 'wink' with my left eye meaning i have to shoot left handed. Any help? some guns i cant use otherwise the blowback loader hits into my chin and is on the wrong side for me to pull =(

To find out which eye is dominant you could just strech out one of your arms, make a fist put your thumb out in front of your face and aim it at something which is more than 2-3 yards away. If your thumb moves with either of your eyes, that would be the non dominant eye. If the thumb stays on the "target", it is your dominant eye. That's cheeper and easier than to fire 8 live ammunition.

Your right about this, but when I teach it seems to make a bigger difference when they can do this and shoot (see the results first hand).

Yeah I thought about that too... I think when you do it with a gun and actually shoot you get a better view of the result you can generate with your "right" eye.

yup good point 817riverparkmusic. i was gonna suggest the same thing except make a circle with your hand and look through the circle at a specific object. remember to look at the object with BOTH eyes first before closing one or the other. : )

a better way to see whats your domminent eye is to put your thumb on a object couple feet away and close your right eye and see if it moves then cose you left eye see if it moves and the eye that dosent move the thub is your donoment eye
