  • I want to be a tie fighter pilot ALL HAIL THE EMPORER!!!!

  • The Galactic Empire was not an oppression if any thing the Rebels were terrorists who ended a way of life. LONG LIVE THE GALACTIC EMPIRE AND IT'S EMPEROR!

  • @penguinsnap The Empired enslaved the wookies and many races. All cause they rebel against it, if not they were to leave in peace under imperial rule. The rebels used suiced terrorist to kill imperials, at the same time they killed many civilians. The Empire was no different, but only when there was a area higly filled with rebels. For example,if a village has 50 civils and has 200 rebels. Is gona get bomb up thats for shure. The Rebels were nothing, thats why they were loosing to the KONS.

  • I agree death to the rebellion when I was younger I used to want to have my own empire and control the galaxy who will join me in my quest for power I need men willing to fight for the cause all hail emperor barrett (that's me)

  • Why not just turn on the hyperdrive and run away i don't see any gravity well generators so i don't see what's stopping them.

  • What a great game. I remember that it was lambasted by many critics for being too tough to play. I thought it was just perfect. Everything that one could want out of a wargame.

  • @Colfax11000 lol the only thing that sucked about the game was the enemy AI. they let themselves get suckered in to too many decisive battles that shatter their fleet, or they try and capture planets and don't properly defend them, so you can easily liberate them and gain massive popular support in that system.

  • @NYG5 ya good point but never the less, it had a lot to like about it. There were a huge variety of units, all kinds of different battles, resource and strategy balance.

  • @Colfax11000 oh yeah, i mean if you really look at it, there are tons of strategies to use in the game, just with the way the resource system is set up. you spread yourself too thin, let somebody blockade your refinery and mine heavy systems, it strangles your maintenance and just freezes everything. you can methodically conquer eveyr planet, or pick and choose which systems you want to control and glass every other one, use specforces to sabotage your enemy's resources early. lots of ways 2 win

  • lol I was so young when this game came out I couldn't even figure out how to play it.

  • this was my first Star Wars game! I was 8 :D

  • the imperials never come from behind like cowards. the come right at you, bro

  • Why movies cant end like this? Die rebel scum!!!

  • the -9 are REBEL SCUM!!!

  • Are those TIE pilots drunk

? they keep swerving from side to side

  • YES! The rebels finally lose!

  • Don't worry. As long as R2D2, the True Star of Star Wars, is around, Freedom is possible!

  • I used to be so badass at this game.

  • Love that game. I'm still playing it!!

  • Mmmm....never seen this bit before.Only get the Tie bombers bombing the flying city

  • How to get this Cutscene? It's EASY! Just send your Rebel Base through Hyperspace as close as possible to Corruscant. They will give you a very warm welcome there. You will look incredibly stupid, but satisfied...Watching this cutscene...

  • These are good cutscenes for something as old as this game is. The explosions are pretty good. It beats the tar out of cutscenes from TIE fighter.

  • @incinerator327 from a technical point of view, maybe. but tie fighter cutscenes are much better IMHO. and tie fighter is much older ...

  • Never got to see this...always won :)

  • With their shields down a Nebulon B frigate trying to attack a star destroyer would be similar to nerf trying to win a fight with a rancor.

  • LMFAO.

    POWNED.

  • FOR THE EMPIRE!

  • R2: "F**k this. I'm gonna start my OWN Rebellion."

  • Poor, Poor rebels... *sniff* ... Finally do you know how much money I have lost over the years betting on the Empire...... Alot but every time I just figured they were due.

  • The end credits are just a nice way of saying: "You really fucked us in this ass, commander. Maybe someone else will get the job next time."

  • the rebels are basicly overpowering so the only way you could see this is if you didnt do a damn thing.

  • WTF?

  • This game was a bitch to play.

  • lol, R2 didnt get crushed like his counterpart, who tries to kill you if ur on Empire's side. And C3PO is nicer than that bastard Mando droid...DEATH TO REBEL BITCHES!!!

  • is it like star wars empire at war or can u build stuff and things like that?

  • I never heard of this game can someone bring me up to speed?

  • Comment removed

  • its from like 98 or 99, it was their first rts game. ONline multiplay it was fun for a while...

  • Prettty old game that is fun to play but focuses on strategy instead of battling. On second thought, THERE ARE NO BATTLES. You can bombard planets and stuff, but the space battles are like tetris compared to EAW's

  • At last! No more rebels!

  • LOL at c3po's voice....

  • The game is 10+ years old! The cutscenes are really good...

  • Yeah, that was when they made the cutscenes with real people :D

  • @blabla19861313 i have 9 years old and i played this game

  • @PacificAssault1 FAILURE

  • @catnipassian what failure ? ooops i sorry i have 10 years old its my stupid computer!

  • Did anyone manage to turn luke to the Dark Side?

I heard its possible but I never did it.

Everytime I held Luke captive and tried to turn him to the Dark Side he escapes and either Darth Vader or the Emperor died.

    PS.

One of the best SW games ever!

  • i built a Deathstar were he was caught... then he turned into an usable character to the empire with nice combat attributes.

  • Comment removed

  • i accidently the rebellion :D

  • oops....

    I destroyed the Rebellion....

  • okay

  • how do i make a video gameplay of star wars EAW FOC without using a webcam? is it an ingame option?

  • Using video capturing programs like FRAPS.

  • hey guys that say the graphics are crappy. Incase you dont know or your too young to know, this game was made around 1995. or 1998 lol. dont be so harsh. Of course FOC is better. But i remember this game way back. It was great for its time.

I didnt like the tiny ships during the main battles but graphics limitations for the time lol. i liked the cut screens.

  • It looks way better than Galactic Battlegrounds. That game sucked!

  • I actually like galactic battlegrounds. Not really starwars but pretty good solid rts.

  • I dunno. It's too much like Age of Kings for my taste. And how are you supposed to have a Star Wars game without space battles? Battlefront tried that too, but at least they had some ships you could use for ground support.

  • Yeah, that's why I agree it's not like starwars. There are no space battles and that is one of the big components of starwars. There really isn't alot of memorable ground battles in starwars.

  • I didnt like Galactic Battlegrounds but I liked Age of Empires and Age of kings. It seemed cheep to make a star wars ground forces game and put it into the age of empires engine. I liked star wars Force Commander.

  • Don't get me wrong: I love AoE AoE:Conquerors. It just doesn't translate well to a Star Wars game.

  • Graphics are great, but surely they could've done better animations than that? And who voiced C-3PO anyhow?

  • It sure as hell wasn't Anthony Daniels

  • 1:24 wow what way to rub it in!

  • I love that. It's like saying thanks to you, you got all these people killed.

  • Funny how C-3PO shits his pants.

  • ITS A TRAP!!1!

  • MUST HAVE GAME!!!!!!!!

  • Look at the HERO Luke. So handsome!!! Oww!!

  • I will join this shit today if JarJar is in it and i can kill him.

  • i want kill him too!

  • Yeah, that's VICTORY CRUISERS! Not Star Destroyers!

  • this game looks crap

  • Anyway, comparing it to EaW, 3 Star Destroyers coud take a Nebulon-B Frigate down fast by using their tractor beams on it (but then the frigate could convert all it's power to it's shields). Then the Mon Calamari cruiser would only be able to focus fire on 2 Star Destroyers, and the SD's have many turbolasers, so they'd fire back repeatedly, with 1 not being fired at. Once the frigate is gone, they focus all fire on the Mon Calamari cruiser and there's no way it could fight it's way out of it!

  • Read the books. Home One in the Jedi Academy trilogy fended off an assault from 12 Victory Star Destroyers and survived long enough for General Wedge Antilles task force to arrive and sweep the rest of the imps up. This was when Daala(sp?) and Pellaeon attacked the jedi temple on Yavin IV. Besides EAW is no good. The space battles are over too quick and the ground battles have no real strategy involved in them whatsoever!

  • @Iffy350 I think it follows General Forrest's maxim of "Get there first with the most men. I thought both games were good, it is just that EaW is a tactical, small scale game while rebellion is a strategic, large scale game.

  • ..... that was ver neerd like

  • Hey! Don't dis House of the Dead 2 for it's crappy voice acting! That was one of the best light gun shooters I have ever played!

It just got better and better with House of the Dead 4...

  • C-3PO's speech was possibly the worst piece of voice acting I have ever heard in my life.

  • Then you should watch some videos of House of the Dead 2.

  • OK cutscene, but the Star Destroyer destroying the Nebulon-B Frigate in three shots was pretty lame. And I KNOW that Mon Calamari cruiser (or Home One) could've held off at least one Star Destroyer. Compare to Star Wars: Empire at War

  • the mon calamari, with employed tactics, could have won that battle, if the first nebulon survived

  • dude agen with empire at war......it seems like everyone would base the match ups (e.g tie fighter - x-wing.....awing to tie interceptor etc....) but obviously not mate!

  • You know, IMO it's pretty dumb to say "this ship is better because of this and do this and that and I know it because I saw it from the video game".

You know, I could say that F-15 Strike Eagle could take dozens of hits just because it could do so in a video game (which happens to be also "F-15 Strike Eagle")

  • Not 3 shots, a TIE fighter blew all it's sheilds off lol. serves those rebels right for using X-wings and tiny bombs and specforces to destroy anything. DIE REBEL SCUM!!!

  • @TielProductions yeah very uncanon

  • I love a happy ending. =D

  • LOL!!! and some say this game is better than empire at war... looks crappy

  • Mon Calamari Cruiser: Hey I'm dancing and walkign slowly lalalalalala....

*Star Destroyers Drop Out of Hyperspace*

    Star Destroyers: JUMP THAT NIGGA

Also Gotta LOL @ Nebulon-B getting destroyed in 3 fucking shots

  • C3PO sound soooooooo convincing.

    Nooo, REBELLION!!!!!!!

  • They forgot a line of dialouge:

C3PO: R2 where are you going! Wait for me!!!

R2: Beep-doop-doop-deep (Translation: I'll be waiting for you in the fiery pits of hell!)

  • The Empire came back 140 years after Return Of The Jedi

    Under Sith rule again

So, The Empire basically wins and always will win

    Long live the Empire

  • Long live the Empire indeed, rebel scum got what they deserved.

  • squash the scum!

  • You are right, I got that from Star Wars Wookiepeida. I heard before that the Rebellion had a war on itself. Wedge retired (or fired) and Luke Skywalker also fired.

  • Long Live the Empire and Those Who serve under. The Alliance is no more the Empire has gained complete control over the galaxy.

At long last the people of the galaxy are now loyal either will or be force.

  • finnaly the rebal scum is dead yay!!!!!!

  • Long live the Emperor.

  • wow the tie fighters did huge damage on the hull of that frigate

  • omg those frigates are crap, they were torn apart with one shot, are they made from plastic or sometin, ha, the rebel ships suck!

  • U say that when my strike team takes out your Death star.... Oh this brings back sooo many memories :D

  • @DcTremor the frigate is hit more than one times, idiot. and the empire uses them as well. again: idiot.

  • @DcTremor they call it Jap. steel

  • @DcTremor

actually the frigates are imperial one stolen or bought from corrupt officials by the rebellion.

    so the imperial ships suck.

  • @Rilurio technically your both wrong/right, Corellian Corvettes are made by Kuat Drive Yards and were used by the Empire so some were stolen or defected, but at the same time they were sold to the Rebellion

  • @furfeyl

i was referring to the Nebuleon-B frigates

  • @Rilurio im so ashamed, got them mixed up :P same rule applies

  • @Rilurio It is not the resources but how do you make use of them.

  • @DcTremor its a Corellian Corvette and they got hit by a surprise attack, didnt have time to bring their shields up

  • Badass

  • But the droids are okay, right? Please tell me that R2 is still alive!

  • Calm down, it's non-cannon.

  • lol that ending rocked. It didnt give any bullshit and just went straight for it,it told you it is all your fault, your all dead or captives, your whole family is dead, your life is over, your planet gone and all your friends are either being tortured or raped all thanks to your crappy commanding. OWNAGE.

  • Rofl. That ending crawl alone makes it worth watching.

  • One of the best SW games!

  • star wars rebellion is bad ass.

It seems to be quite a rare item this days too. I checked it out on ebay and most copies go for atleast 20-25 bucks.

  • Gayest, most unsatisfying ending ever.

  • man the rebelion builds some crappy ass frigates. they get blown apart with one shot. even tho their supposed to have shields or something.

  • yes the Empire wins....

  • NOO!!! The Rebels lost!! I like the Rebels the most :).

  • this game reminds me of empire at war is it like that in anyway.....

  • this was just the cutscenes but still you are right

  • rebels will keep kicking the empires ass the empire sucks so hard its not even funny.

  • W W W dot stardestroyer dot N E T

  • Just so long as that's how the writers make it...

  • Ya suck on that Rebles. The Empier kicks ass and so dose this game

  • Star wars galaxies is better than EaW and FoC.

  • Since the NGE, Star Wars Chess provides a better gameplay experience than SWG.

  • EAW is one of my favorite games, but it does have some pretty shitty parts, like the fact that the rebels have to turn into a military super power riviling that of the CIS. And then they released the FoC expansion, which gave us a faction with all the abilities that the freakin rebels should of had. but to be honest, nobody really plays the single player games in EAW, all anybody plays in multiplayer space skirmish battles.

  • The game's main drawback was that at a point, supreme galactic domination just got dull. There's a point where you realise you're just not going to lose, and it takes some of the fun out of tracking down the rest of your opponent's forces. It was still strangely addictive and compelling though.

  • You're right.

Still, there was something about creating humongous fleets and armies, that just never got boring.

(You can never have too many Star Destroyers). ^_^

  • This game is old, made in 1998 but still beats the newer Empire at war which i was hoping would be a new updated Rebellion and force commander in one instead Empire at war is crap! All flash! where as rebellion is all strategy and very little flash. If you like true strategy games and graphics are not important this game is for you. Galaxtic chess at it's finest

  • I totally agree, when EaW was announced I instanly thought, 'Rebellion 2', instead we get a shallow game that can barely compare to the greatest Star Wars RTS ever. The Amount of strategy pwns any SW game ever made. You have to THINK about your actions, it takes time to go from point A to point B, your ships take heavy damage that isn't repaired after every battle, and things cost A LOT of money.

  • The only way the game could have been improved would be better graphic (was based on technology of the time), more detailed orders given in battle with a fleet formation system with standing orders and fighter able to be launched and recovered on demand, and having it so you can capture or loss your ships from or to the other side. So you could have an alliance imperial star destroyer if a battle was lost by the empire- salvaged maybe.

  • Rebellion 2 wasn't an RTS. It was more like MOO, wasn't it?

  • As far as I know there was no Reb 2....I may be wrong but Ive never heard of one.

  • HonestObserver may be refering to EaW as Reb 2.

  • I liked it and at the same time I didn't like it.

  • The gamy was crappy but I played it anyway :)
