spawn trapping is camping in essence, i dont like it, you know where they spawn, you just wait for them to spawn and come to you, for example in nuketown, you stay in the middle of the map behind cover mostly, you may move around, but that moving around is not enough for me to not call it camping, its boring, easy, kinda cheap in my opinion, i mean, i may spawn trap while im getting in their spawn, but thats it, imma keep pushing till it flips

I agree spawn trapping is a valid tatic. However, I don't see the point in it, typically agianst unorganized players. It basically comes down to who caps what first. Sure, you can get out of a spawn trap, but it takes no skill (my opinion) to start spawn trapping the other team. That and it's no fun.

Flipping spawns when your team mates are camping on the opposite side, (pre- flip) just pisses me off, when im sitting here close to a hind or gunner, and i get shot in the back. Normaly i dont camp but i usally nomad (taking a small section and controlling it for a while, and then moving to another small section)

I play MW2 on PC for the most part, and always with one or 2 friends. So we're always trying to get predictable spawns, but we're always flipping the spawns cause we play like you, y know, getting those Harrier-Pave Low- AC130 streaks. Not as succesfull, because this playstyle is hard on PC :/

When I outplay a pack of spawn trappers, they always leave the lobby. They aren't playing for the challenge, they are playing for the points. In other words, they act like pussies. Doing whatever is easiest to make them look good.

I have no respect for spawn trapping in Demolition. The game has an objective. That objective isn't abusing the limited spawn points in order to boost your points. If you are a badass in CoD, then spawn-trapping level-one-prestige players is like playing against the A.I. on recruit. It's super lame. Play the objective. Win, and move on.

@stopcryingimback dude, for most players this is what they do. what do you do in domination? cap flags AND go to the spawn and get kills. In demo?...well i think you know that answer. in HQ? find the are where enemies are at and kill them so your team can get the HQ. In SnD? go to the spawn and find the . In TDM? go to the spawn and get your kills. Pretty much in all game modes, you go to the spawn and rape the enemy. Do you camp to get kills? dude that is more pussy than spawn trapping.

Its easier for us to get scores like you when we spawn trap cause we know where the team is. You, and other players of your caliber, can flip the spawns cause your skill can make up for it. Thats also why you think spawn trapping is "boring" cause its easy for you.

I only hate when people switch the spawns in Nuketown. Honestly, I am a camper on Nuketown, I rely on the lines on sight, and get me my killstreaks. It pisses me off when the start spawning behind me. But other maps I never camp so I might get mad for like 1 death, but then I'll expect it.

When you can't out-shoot someone, you have to outplay them. Spawn trapping, camping, whatever it may be. Most of the people in any game have 4-5 days play time. I have 1-2 days. So, I have to outplay them to stay in positive k/d ratio.

I think that on a small map like Nuketown, if you're playing with a full or almost-full party, it can be annoying to the team if a couple of guys are pushing spawn all the time because they'll suddenly get bad guys spawning right behind them and killing them from behind when they're trying to build a killstreak. However, I also agree that, in general, aggressive play is more entertaining to watch, so my conclusion is that it depends on the consensus of the people you're playing with at the time.

Well, I guess spawn trapping is alright, but it is unfair. PeI like to do it becaue I have a 0.5 dl, 0.6 upload, and a 130 ping to a city about 20 miles away from me. (Toronto). @iiLiiKeTuRtLeZ im not markofj, but i use a headset, and solely used ninja for a long time for that exact reason, its a habit from MW2. in BLOPS, the sound is so bad, for the majority of game modes a headset is a complete waste of time, if ur playing dom, ground war, tdm, HQ etc. for search use ninja, dont bother with ninja on the rest.

My team (ZomB) spawn traps a lot on Black Ops. The teams that have no clue what they're doing, we'll let them win a round so we can get some extra kills. What's great though is when we get spawn trapped but still manage to win. We take a hit to our kill/death, but still get the W.

Spawn trapping is total bullshit if you ask me. One time I joined a game of demo midgame and there was some douche sitting at the spawn just firing, waiting for someone to spawn there. It takes no skill whatsoever, all it takes is a bunch of shitty players on the other team. Completely ruined demo for me. I've played games with people saying not to flip the spawns or that they are setting up a trap, and I will intentionally flip the spawn just to not put the other team in a BS trap.

The real "good" players will play the object, let the spawn go wherever it goes (if that means rushing in to flip it, do it), and still have high kills and scores (xcal...)

I like fighting the spawn campers from beginning to end to see if the team can still come away with the victory and a couple times we had. but i had entering into a game to take the place of someone who raged in the middle of a spawn camp.

I flat out refuse to take part in spawn camping. i do not find it fun on the camping side, it is very bad sportsmanship, and it's just not fun at all
