  • Makes me cry every time.

  • Her and Win have such interesting, yet incredible voices. Nothing particular technical or profound by means of skill. But they're so good. Everyone in Arcade Fire adds something raw like that. I guess that's just Arcade Fire. :P

  • who's Alice???

  • @dnlrss her mom

  • @dnlrss Mary Alice Chassagne was Regine's mother, she died in a car accident, that's why Régine wrote this amazing song!

  • @DuduEspoir Thanks!!!! What a great song!!

  • Raw emotion

  • C'est belle!

  • I love the part around 4:50 where Regine is so wrapped up in the song she forgets where the mic is.

  • They should really perform this song live more often, it's so amazing!

  • I dislike the character limit greatly. 500 characters is hardly enough to explain the feelings this song gives me... actually... no amount of words is enough to explain the feelings this song gives me

  • this song pulls on the heart strings.

  • and people try to say regine can't sing...

    she is so awesome.

  • @matmptmx I agree, that even innocent and poetic way that they both have to express themselves on stage!

  • Bravo, Régine!

  • Does anyone else think that in this particular performance she sounds a little like Bjork on those crazy high notes?

  • When I first saw them live I couldn't stop the tears from flowing on this song... incredible emotional impact, and the build-up in intensity towards the end is out of this world. And some people wonder why we go bazooka over this band!

  • who is alice?

  • @amosepe Her mom.

  • The fact that Regine can get up on that stage and sing about her mothers death in front of so many people is amazing. She is so beautiful and brave, I love her and just Arcade Fire in general :'-)

  • Vulnerable and yet so powerful!!

Crap, the end got me again always end up tearing up

  • Vulnerable and yet so powerful

  • @BlackIroni exactly what i think every time i hear her

  • @BlackIroni exacly what i think every time i hear her.... she seems a little like a child on a stage for the first time, every time. singing her heart out.

  • 5:16 chills...

  • Probably the best live version, at least here on yt

  • @oniric85 Not the Amsterdam gig May 2005 with the wonderful strings from Richard, Sarah and Owen Pallett and the dramatic ending?

  • MAGIC!!!!!!!

  • Silenty weeping at my keyboard...

  • These guys sooo get IT, they really do, BEAUTIFUL!

  • Régine is so beautiful, my God.

  • i love regine!

  • wonderful

  • This band is made up of such beautiful people.

  • Someone told me that Owl City wrote better lyrics than Arcade Fire I hate that person more than Ive ever hated anyone

  • Rightly so man, arcade fire right stuff we can only wish we could. Viva le Arcade Fire!

  • @eheffelf hahaha agree...

  • @eheffelf Owl City didn't they make that wussy song last year that was really popular on crap music radio stations? I vaguely remember them (him)

  • Find it bizzare, first time I see Win not being able to look at Regine/Crowd. But then again he must know what the song represents to her.

  • Wow, this is pure magic

  • Awesome band... I need to see it in live o_o

But does she had some voice problem at the beginning? oO

  • Emotions.

  • i swear this song, no matter how many times i listen to that one part, i get goose bumps. every time

  • amazing

  • I was there,at this magical show. This time is print in my heart. An amazing human and spiritual communion time.

A big love of my life is dying and this song support me and help me to don't forget love and life never end...

My whole life, I've been learning...

  • Regine's mother, Alice, died in a car crash. So Regine wrote this song and dedicated it to the memory of her mother. That's sweet.

Regine, I gotta tell you, your mother would be so proud of you!

  • Speechless

    <3

  • This song melts my heart...

  • A day after this comment, my grandmother died. I had this song in my mind the whole time during the funeral. I thank Arcade Fire for comforting me with their music.

  • Thank you, I appreciate it. :)

  • yeah it's been helping me deal with my grandmother dying in the hospital.
