Thank you for singing this boat song. Originally this is a song from my ancestor's land (Batak Land, North Sumatra, Indonesia). One of the Indonesian classic songs that caught the hearts of many foreign entertainers esp. from Hong Kong and Taiwan. When I was small in Medan, with my parents we went to see a live show from Hong Kong. They sang Chinese songs but at the end of the show, a singer sang the Indonesian classic song 'Bengawan Solo'. So, that's one of the stories why.
