I quite like how DQ has stayed true to its NES roots even now - the Overture is just wonderful, and even tunes such as the File Select screen from DQS and the end-of-battle and level-up tunes remind me of playing DW1 - DQ certainly outdoes Final Fantasy with regards to nostalgia feel. And to be quite honest, I've been liking the later FF games less and less - 10 and 12 played so much differently from the 4-8(I haven't played 9...) series.

even though this is from a spin off game, this is probably one of my favorite Dragon Quest battle themes of all time. Its a shame that all this game seems to do is collect dust at my local best buy. people don't know what theyre missing.

My favorite thing about this game is that they use the technology to make epic ass scenes and music but they also still gave it a little old school touch and that battle theme is still kinda SNESish....this game is awesome!!!
