  • we've learn it as Second Dribble... #theNetherlands!

  • I won beacuse of him

  • Double dribble

  • dude thx man!!!! i did it on ma firts trainin lesson nd didnt no what i did wrong ;)

  • What about when someone passes you the ball, it hits your hand, the ball hits the ground and you pick it back up with both hands? Does the ball hitting your hand and then the ground count as one dribble or are able to dribble again after picking the ball up on the ground? I see this happen in the NBA ALL the TIME.

  • Its not double dribble simply because u dont have the full or sole possession of the ball yet per say, now when u picked that ball up and let's just say for some reason when u picked up d ball and slips through your finger or hands the last second now when it hits the ground and u picked it up again, then you will be called double dribbling. hope these help a lil.

  • How are you supposed to fake a shot if you can't touch the ball with two hands?

  • @xmen9577 You can fake a shot while touching the ball with two hands, you just can't put down the ball after the fake shot. Get me? You gotta follow through with a pass or else it's a penalty.

  • is this a effing joke?

  • Wahhhh !! I got it thats what i did in my first gameee wahhh I wanted to pass . and i diddnt! so i dribbled again and then i passed :(((((((((( Im a fckn looser in ball I will never be good ! I will never play for Uconn I will be stuck a double dribble my whole life :( They all yelled at meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • @jenica1929 MAN UP!

  • @jenica1929 same here :( and im white

  • @jenica1929 Don't think like that!

  • thats a nice teacher! go on like this brotha!

  • so if i stop and make fake pass or fake shot and dribble and run to do a layup is that a double dribble???

  • @Awesome4life100 to answer your question correctly, when you stop and make anymore movement after you dribbled is called a traveling you cant move your pivot foot after you stop dribbling, now if are dribbling the ball and make a stop, and dribbled again now thats a double dribble....hope this helps

  • @nikervc dude so why do is i see guys on the nba. After dribbling they've got both hands on the ball at a position and then moves at another position while dribbling. Isn't that double? Or is it good?

  • @astrologio i thought about that same point also. think it is because the player didn't attempt to shoot or pass. at least that is what i understood from the explantion listen 0:21- 0:35

  • i like this guy. good teacher

  • he says okay? a lot lol

  • what if you dribble with your right hand then switch over to dribble with your left one?

  • @banginbangali25

The ball has to touch the ground, before switching hands. Meaning, if You want to continue dribbling, the ball can't touch both hands and then be dribbled.

If You caught a ball without it touching the ground, You can hold it with any hand and switch it to any, and start dribbling wiht any

  • Thanks!

  • what if a player gives you a pass and you pick the ball with ONE hand, and then you put your other hand on the ball without dribbling it and then you dribble the ball with both of your hands. Will that be considered a double dribble ?

  • ur right thats not double dribble but if you go off ur feet and dont shoot thats up and down

  • up & down does not exist in the nba. it just called traveling

  • @PLOTLAKER5 if there isnt such thing as up n down then who made it up cuz i didnt make that up

  • @cuteshntl1 i never said theres no such thing as up & down... since when you go up & come back down without shooting or passing the ball, they just say " up & down " but it is traveling, i do say up & down also, i was just saying.. it is not called up & down in the nba thats all

  • @PLOTLAKER5 yeah thats true

  • Everytime I dribble and then stop to take a pump fake shot, then I dribble and drive in. Right when I do that some kids keep calling it double dribble but I didn't actually jump off of my feet. (That would be Up and down) Am I doing it right or wrong?

  • plz answer this..........when you dribble the ball and stop and catch it with onehand then dribble it again is that double dribble?

  • Thanks a lot man. Only started playing last year and still trying to understand all the rules ;o)

  • basketball players get the ball with both hands and dribble it again with one they dont get called!!!!!!

  • @davidqurt27

if someone passes them the ball (they will catch it with 2 hands) and they dont move their pivot foot or dribble. They can still dribble the ball with one hand, once they dribble though they can not do this any more if they pick up the ball with 2 hands, this is called 'picking up your dribble'

the top stars get good call and can get away with taking 4-5 steps and double dribble occasionally, so dont get confused if you see Lebron breaking the rules.

  • What did Greg Monroe do in the game today?

  • cheers . i get it now

  • no duh douchbag

  • ok i see alot of double dribbles but people say its not. i dont get the difference

  • excellent job! \
