  • I just did this work out for 3 sets that equaled up to 15mins. I might say, it indeed kicked my ass. While wearing a sweater and track pants outside in the summer definitely made me sweat. Good work-out.

  • It's currently summer break at my school, so i've needed someone to stay in shape. During school, i was in athletics, with some of the toughest coaches imaginable. I thought this would be easy after they're shit.....i was wrong....

  • @Avario468 Anything physical burns fat, working out trains your body to burn more fat overall, and muscle burns fat to sustain itself (50-60 calories a day per pound of muscle)

  • This has been on my "workout" playlist since he first put it up, but I only just now did it. Still, I feel proud and happy. I couldn't do the mountain climbers right in jeans, and something was sore in my arms before I even started the pushups, but I feel proud of what I did. This is something I can follow, something that can grow on me and give me the strength to keep going all day. Thank you, Trainer David.

  • I'm not as fit as I used to be since I stopped playing sports but I'm still pretty skinny and not in terrible shape either but this got me sweating. I have a question though and I'm not gonna lie, the next day I was a little sore. Is it because I'm not having a good warm down?

    That's what always what happened when I did a crappy warm down after playing a game.

  • if we did this 6 days a week, how many weeks would you expect someone that's generally unfit to get fit?

  • @NathanAmbrose42 well it depends how unfit you are, you're weight, and physical ability. but if you do the full circuit 6 days a week, you'd be guaranteed to lose 2-4 pounds in the first week.

  • Man, for people watching this and thinking it looks easy, it's not! I started his fitness routine @ 10 days ago and after my first workout I sat and cried. I'm disappointed in how I've let myself get in such bad shape; I start sweating within the first 3-4 minutes! But I can feel myself doing just a little better each time and that is keeping me going. Thanks David for getting me off of my butt!

  • Right now i can do 4 rounds with modified pushups and ab reach in the last round. [in 15 minutes]

  • @Franchan10 i do the full workout including un-modified push ups, and modified, and both the ab reaches. i do the workout once, 2 min break, again, 2 min break, and one last time in 20 min

  • Nice stuff man. Looks like you teamed up with DeFranco to help him out. Love the Planks, though I refer to them as Supermans. I can't stress enough to people that want to get in shape, but have sloppy workouts, that it's form > set > rep > weight. Too many people put too much weight and have terrible form, cant finish their reps right, which leads to an insufficient set.

    Workouts aren't just male/female oriented. The point is to get in shape. What he shows you will help. I seriously doubt you'll get "crazy man muscles."

  • @chloe3305 Yes it will, it gives a pretty good cardio workout if you do it at high intensity. However it will also cause you to put some weight on as muscle, which is a good thing :), helping to further your fat loss goals.

  • @Decoda2sweet: The whole idea is that you're supposed to do it at your own pace. Everyone is going to need to do this at different speeds depending on their fitness level. If everyone tried to keep pace with a video, there's a chance they could injure themselves.

  • I might try this tomorrow. I do dance style aerobic work outs usually, but I like switching it up. I won't do the plank, though, because I know one time I tried it I felt like my face was going to explode. I try to breathe but I just can't when I do a plank and I know that's bad.

  • Trainer Dave, great clip--haven't tried this but I will this week (so I'll give feedback later)--but a resistance band clip would be awesome. If you've got the inclination, that is. Keep 'em comin'!

  • David I just did this for the first time and it was great! I haven't worked out at all (other than sports) for several years, so this workout killed me - I barely made it through my last circuit.

    Thanks so much for posting these. I'm trying to get my master's degree and I was having trouble focusing when studying. I figured getting in shape would give me more energy so I could concentrate. I think I'll keep doing these, because your workout was fun!

  • I think it would be helpful to have a list at the end of the exercises and the number of reps/time you need to do them. So that someone could pause on that screen and use it as a quick reference in case you forget where you are in the workout.

(Great show that led me here) So I always extend the description for every video to check for additional information and links. That time there was nothing, so I decided to try contributing out of kindness.
