Powerdesk has been doing this for years and Directory Opus had been doing it since way back in the days of the Commodore Amiga. Nothing new but certainly much better than MS's lame system.
i have a question if i burn files and data to a blank CD successfully. than i got a hole new hard drive will i be able to copy the data off the disk to my new drive?
I use Directory Opus. Without it I can't stand the sight of windows. If you don't mind paying and it being windows only then I can't recommend it enough.
In vista you just open the file your file you want to transfer is in and then on the side is like a Treeview i guess then you pic were you want to move the file then just drag and drop.
I have been burned by at least one product that had many changes in their change log, the problem was they did little testing and fixing one bug or adding a feature often caused 2 to 5 new problems. The harder ones to fix just kind of hung around.

Hey i know the tree display... hm from where... OH! That's right! Windows Explorer, Mac Finder, and KDE!
Do you even know what your OS can do?
Even PCDOS from the original IBM PC had a treeview!

UltraExplorer seems to be a very good alternative.
