  • This Is Tiny Kline read her book it's at Amazon new and used, Cirrus Queen & Tinker Bell - The Memoir of Tiny Kline, the NYPD police did arrest her, but the judge did let her go, The book is very well written check it out it will answer all your questions a true story.

  • she got good tits

  • @beebfader Wanna hear a joke? 'britains got talent'.... Nuff said

  • Must have been quite a logistical challenge to stretch the rope all that way before the deed was done. I suspect there is a lot about this stunt we do not know. Perhaps Tiny Kline's memoirs fill us in a little more. She deserves to be better known.

  • @spitfireJEJ Yes. It's odd that they'd arrest her only after the stunt was completed, when it couldn't possibly have been set up in secret. Get the feeling a little money changed hands, maybe?

    Norm

  • wellthat was interesting and wow how amazing would that have been to see live

  • That's fcking insane.

  • Simply fantastic.

  • I'd like to see them try that on `Britain's Got Talent'

  • Was that "you're in a lot of trouble" bit at the end staged?

  • I think that this last bit is staged. In her memoir, Tiny Kline never even mentions the "arrest," which makes me think that the vaudeville company sponsoring her "slide" across Times Square also sponsored the ruckus with the police at the end.

  • they talked about her on "coast to coast am with george norrie" last night.

  • yeah I heard that too

  • she was also the first tinkerbell.

  • tiny kline was my friend nora's great great aunt. so if anyone has any questions email ashleytisdale1207, and tell her hope told u to.

  • My kind of woman! Like how there's just a couple guys at the end to slow her down before the impending steel frame. Apparently she "upgraded" to a mattress to stop herself flying from the Matterhorn down to the rooftop. Thanks for posting. This is a very preserved and clean copy.

  • This is definitely Tiny Kline, a Hungarian-born burlesque dancer and aerialist who became Disneyland's first Tinker Bell at the age of 70. In October 1932, Kline performed this iron-jaw stunt across Times Square as a way to advertise a vaudeville show that she was in. Kline's fascinating memoir will be published by University of Illinois Press in June 2008.

  • Tiny Kline was also my Great-Great Aunt!!! I went to Circus World on vacation this summer and they had a lot of stuff on her.

Her Original name was: Helen Deutsch

Then when she married Otto Kline,(who was a "Trick Rider")she changed her name to Tina Kline and then when she joined the Circus, she changed it to Tiny Kline.

And I do have her book. I can't wait to read it!!!

P.S. - if you have any questions, just ask.

  • I believe that she's Tiny Kline. Much later the first Tinkerbell at Disneyland, where she also had to hang by her teeth.

The University of Illinois has a biography coming out in 2008.

  • Thank 4 the info on Tiny Kline. I haven't found a picture on the net that proves this. Do you?

  • I don't have definite proof, but infer it from:

Tiny Kline crossed Broadway hanging by her teeth, just as this woman did.

Tiny Kline was "tiny", as was this woman.

Tiny Kline was from Hungary; this woman has a Hungarian accent.

Not certain, but better than 95% likely (if I can make up a number).

  • Thanks 4 the info.

  • @BobShair

this is my great great aunt. and yes this is her. she was married to Otto Klien. she is in her 40's when she did this

  • @BobShair this is in fact tiny kline, also known as helen deutsch also known as Helen Kreinbrink...aka my great great aunt.

  • It goes without saying, really, but that's one brave woman!

  • Quick, Clancy! Arrest that woman!

  • Thanks.

And do you have more footage about her ? If yes, could you post it please ?

  • That's all I got of her. This is from the movie I have called "Gizmo". It has a bunch of old footage of amazing stunts and early inventions. Well worth buying or renting. Also, nothing in the credits about her. But she is amazing!!! No way would they ever let someone do a stunt like that again!!!

  • Do you know the name of this woman ?

  • No, But I will check the credits in the movie Gizmo when I have a chance
