Im a big Michigan State fan so i looked mandarich up. He looks like he has the size and strength but from the film I saw just now he definantly wasnt ready for the style of the pros, his footwork was off so when Reggie got under him, tony was all over. You save your long-term health, but you aren't a superstar anymore. Why is that so hard for people to understand? The mid 1990's Green bay Packers would have been better even without primetime Sanders or Barry Sanders if the Packers didn't screw up on the 5th pick of the 1992 draft. Ron Wolf never drafted a small CB after he was burned Terrell Buckley.

Ron Wolf picked Buckley over Troy Vincent and Wolf regretted it later on.

One of the reasons for Green Bay being 9 -7 for 3 straight years was Terrell Buckley. Buckley had on the field issues as a Packer.

I am not to sure if Deion Sanders would have been the only key player that would have helped the mid 90's Packers. The 1984 draft is the reason I say that.

The 1984 NFL Draft different than it should have been. The players selected in the 1984 special NFL Supplement draft would have in the regular 1984 NFL draft including Reggie White. That would have changed where some of the players would have been drafted.

The mid 90's Packers wouldn't have been as good with Barry Sanders. Barry Sanders was the best running back I saw out of the Packer's Division, but Barry Sanders made lion teams get better records than they were capable of. That means the Packers wouldn't have gotten Ron Wolf as a gm, or Mike Holmgren as a head coach.

Primetime Sanders would have been a great pick, but he also played Major League Baseball. It would have up to if Dion would agree upon to playing football only.

what sets the nfl apart form the other sports, physical talent cant do it alone. lebron james is an athletic freak. in baseball, you have pitchers who can only throw heat. technique can be developed later. in the nfl, you need to have superb technique right off the bat. mandarich was all muscle and nothing else.

Mandarich is on OTR in Canada all the time. Humble guy and full of wisdom. Not your typical football player attitude. I think he should work with young players in some way helping them get accustomed to the pros. He'd be a good coach I think.
