Personally I didn't mind Captain Planet, it was a pretty good show. Only problem was, it became OVERBEARINGLY obvious environmental garbage instead of working on better episode dialogue. Also one of the big things I hate about Ted Turner......

I love Ted Turner. If it wern't for him Captain Planet wouldn't have ever aired and Captain Planet is THE only reason I ever thought about "being green" when I was little. My parents sure didn't know anything. Captain Planet made me question my actions and thier effects. Thanks Ted Turner!

Boy, Turner is as STUPID as he looks! If he derived Captain Planet from Superman and Batman, then he doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. If I were in his position my decision would be: 'To hell with this Captain Planet nonsense, I'm going buy the rights to show Mobile Suit Gundam, Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, Jeeg, Getter Robo, Grendizer, Tekkaman the Spaceknight, Space Runaway Ideon, and the Japanese Transformers series (Headmasters, Masterforce, Victory).

To use the term "green" is slang for "environmentally oriented". So he didn't say anything stupid there, you just misinterpreted it.

And it's logical to start idenifying him as A Superman and working your way towards a unique name - nothing wrong there.

C'mon, this guy made a cartoon that alot of kids in the 90's enjoyed, don't start dissin' him now. I will however, admit he could of been a bit more enthusiastic and less monotonous.
