I love Aretha Columbia years. They recorded her voice the best out of all labels even Atlantic. Atlantic had the hits and Columbia the better studio. :)

Wow did I say something bad? Columbia did have the better studio. Listen how crisp it is? The material and everything else was better at Atlantic.

I agree with you..Columbia and Aretha may not have found the million selling albums and hits but they knew she was a singer's singer so much so that they told the producers to record whatever Aretha wanted to sing. How many artist can say that?
