Hi, I'd like to know which webcam are you using. It seems to capture very well the nuances of your sound in HD, despite youtube's compression. thank you.
great sounds and rig design,if you are using a suhr minimix line mixer, are you runnig dry/wet,wet/dry/wet? .I use the thd hotplate with my bogner ectasy,or diezel einstein to not use the effects loop because even running in parrallel loop seems to have effect on tone.I run the tc gsystem from the hotplate to a vht 2150,and bypass the first stage of gsystem.I also have the gcx and the ground control pro. Whats your thoughts on the gsystem and why and how are you using the suhr minimixer II.
Okay that sounds absolute distorted but extremly clean. Wow man I'm a bit jealous :D I'm also playing the Herbert (German Amp-Power \m/ :D) Greetz from here ;)
Yes, Diezel the king of all AMPS! Yes, they sound like that in person, but even better, yes ch3 sounds that strong! Yes again DieZel Amps are the ultimate, live or studio.....
bro, you dont want a Herbert, he has those insanely powerful pickups and they literally have mini overdrves built into them, the cable coming out of hisguitar splits off and it is run into a car battery! Kidding, butthe Herbert is not that good.
Actually the Herbert is that good. I use one every time i get to play in a studio that has one. Mounds of gain and it's so tight. They make single coils sound like humbuckers if tweaked right too.
It's a Suhr Modern with Seymour Duncan Blackouts(AHB1). Suhr installed them at the factory for me. You can get this guitar any way you like, woods, color, trem, electronics.
Thanks Mark, I am so use to playing Ibanez for the last 20 years and The Ibanez Jem the last few years. What would you recommend as far as body wood, scale length etc etc? I gotta have 24 frets though, just to use to it. I tend to like an Alder body as well. What are the specs on yours?
wow, great tone and rig...I also have a herbert and I am running a tc electronics m one into it, I'm curious, are you running your tc straight into the fx loop?...sounds Great!
I just have to wonder how that would sound through a PA. I mean damn, there's so much gain going on there, I really don't think it even sounds like a tube amp. To each their own though!
Your killing me:) You have the best tone on you tube hands down!! I just bought a CAE 3+SE chasing your tone and just realized that was an old video. I see you switched to the OD 100SE, can you tell me if there is a big tone difference between the CAE 3+SE & the OD 100SE. I cant seem to get that thick crisp tone you have, any help would be great. Thanks!!
Damn! i thought your se+ had enough distortion lol. It actually sounds a lot like your se+ to my ears. Do you think thats because of the blackouts Mark? I'm seriously considering getting some Blackouts thats all.
i love these tones, but just wonderin, do you ever do anything with clean sounds? thats really what i usually do. im heavy into the really pure clean stuff, with an occasional drive and grit. just wondering. sounds great though!
yea. thats some cool stuff up there. i just usually like playing with just like the clean channels on my tourmaster 4100 and maybe like, just a TS-9 Silver Mod and thats mostly it. do you do stuff like clapton and SRV and stuff like that? just wondering. your playing is killlinnn!
Nice. Brutal, but nice. Hangs together nicely. Not fizzy at all. Pristine clean tone.

Absolutely the best guitar I've ever played.
This guitar would be under $3k street new.

I wonder how it would do in a band mix though....sounds like it might get a little lost.

It's 180watts with lots of frequency range. You are listening to a YT video that has been squashed, compressed and converted.
I can tell you, that if you were in the room you wouldn't say that :)
Mark

You're probably right. YT does take away from how stuff really sounds.

i definitely prefer your od100...it has a much "cleaner" heavy distortion. why did brad get rid of that amp for the diezel?
99voltsdotcom 2 years ago
I just have to wonder how that would sound through a PA. I mean damn, there's so much gain going on there, I really don't think it even sounds like a tube amp. To each their own though!
japetus 2 years ago
First of all when it gets closer to stage volume it cleans up.
I use an OD100se+ with about the same amount of gain, it goes through a PA almost every weekend with great results.
Some people like a lot of gain some don't.
I don't like Country music and I don't like mayo....doesn't mean it's bad.
Besides there is always ch 2 for the naysayers and a gain control.
Maybe you should talk to some of the amp makers and insist they don't put that much gain available..lol.
