um ok.. so I'm actually really disappointed in the English version. D: I really like Tasha and think she's a great rapper, but the Korean version actually flowed much better. There are a few good lines, but as a whole, I have no idea what the hell the song's about. What does the random line about models throwing up to get thinner add to the song? It's just so.... awkward. I know American raps (especially really popular ones) aren't always meaningful but.. AH. at least I can follow them.

@futilesun I've noticed that's true with English translations of just about anything--very rarely does a translation flow well, especially when compared to the original. I think the best way to avoid it is to just write all-new lyrics with some of the same message but just start from scratch basically--but it's very hard to do that when the same people write both versions :/

You're right that it's difficult w/ the same people writing both sets of lyrics, but Epik High's Map the Soul was really, really good. I mean, MYK took over Mithra's parts but Tablo still wrote amazing lyrics for both the Korean and English ver. and the entire song had a different, but still awesome feeling.
