  • ... una de mis favoritas... es la que ponen cuando Oskar visita a su padre...

  • Thank you for sharing, my friend!

  • Hi, do you have the tab ?

    Thanks

This movie is the most beautifull i have seen in my life , and the music.... I can't find the words

  • @TheTruePsycho how can i contact Johan Södverqvist?!?! I love his music, dexter ost, this one, the guy's an artist! If I can't could you at least send me the sheet music? Thanks

  • Which do you like better, The Father or Going Home?

  • @PreciousLittleLife Can I please get the sheet music

  • Can I please get the sheet music?!

  • I love this very, very much, as much as I love the movie.

But I have a question, I hope someone can help me ;)

I think that this soundtrack is also used in "Leon - the professional"..

Am I right or are both soundtracks just quite similar? :\

Please, don't leave sarcastic comments, but I can't get rid of the feeling that I heard this soundtrack in another movie.

    Thanks!! :)

Oh, yeah, I'm really sorry for my english, hope you're able to understand what I'm trying to tell you ;)

  • @TheHippieguitar no man , i have both soundtracks and they are not similar , maybe a little , but just just just a (sorry for my bad english)

  • @firedeathterror999 oh, ok. Thanks!!! :)

  • So good. Hands down best of the movie.

  • beautiful music, beautiful movie!

    just love it!

  • I cant believe hollywood are doing a re-make of this.... They're going to kill it. I can see why they can't juet leave it alone as it was possibly one of my most favorite films (book is amazing as well)... Anyways, thanks for the upload :) brilliant piece of music.

  • I am just proud too be Sweden's neighbor (Norway). I mean: ABBA, IKEA, As it is in heaven, Let the right one in and off course the chicks.

  • demasiado bella esta melodia... quiero sacarla en piano. Me llega al corazón su melancolía

  • One problem I have with this? I wish it was longer :) It's soooo beautiful

  • saw this movie like almost 2 years ago and i love it. sad to see it being remade. there's a picture from the remake of the scene where oskar and eli meet in the courtyard of the apartment complex and the new eli is wearing a damn sno cap and jacket and shit. stupid. sad to see this will be discovered by the twifags and be compared to that piece of crap movie. this movie and daybreakers are REAL vampire movies.

  • Why do they need to remake this? It's perfect! As if America giving us Twilight wasn't bad enough, they have to remake THE best vampire movie I've ever seen. Sometimes...I hate being an American, cause we just look like a bunch of greedy assholes sometimes.

  • The music is amazing.

Is there any other artists who play strict instrumental music without vocals alike Johan Soderqvist?

    Let me know some!

  • @TheJSalmon Yann Tiersen, songs like Summer 78 and Sur le fil are my favorites

  • brillante

  • Couldn't believe how beautiful this theme was the first time i heard it in the film, and after lots of replay it is still one of the most beautiful themes i ever heard!

  • This track, actually, is like a moment of breathing. After moments of suspense, mistery, sadness, romance and loneliness suggested by the previous tracks, The Father is a temporary yet peaceful break into daylight before being thrown again into the darkness of this quite unique soundtrack.

Just a suggestion, though, that only music can bring.

  • i emailed the composer of this song and he answered me directly! and even sent me the sheet music to play this! :D

  • FOR REAL!!!!!

  • @TheTruePsycho how can I contact him???

  • @TheTruePsycho What is the email add of Johan Soderqvist so that I could thank him for this wonderful music.?

  • @TheTruePsycho AAAAAH YOU LUCKY THING 0__0

  • @TheTruePsycho Is it okay to give me the sheet music or just ask from him personally? (:

  • @TheTruePsycho fancy sending me it?

  • @TheTruePsycho

    whatttttttttttttttttttttttt?? are you serious?

heiiiiiiiiii can you send me those sheets? :) pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

  • @speakerdark94 sure whats your email

  • @TheTruePsycho Hey I was wondering if you would be kind enough to send me a copy as well? I would really apprecciate this!

  • @ETFnA7XnUnderoathFTW give me your email

  • @TheTruePsycho is that true ? Can I get it too please ?

  • @PreciousLittleLife yeah, give me your email ill email it to you

  • @TheTruePsycho can you tell me the composer name? and how can I contact him please?

    thanks,

  • I love this but it sounds a bit like Eli's theme only on violin

  • It is actually a reprise of Eli´s Theme, only played on two guitars and a 3/4 signature.

  • And a half step down from standard tuning.

  • Its not a reprise of Eli's theme. Although some parts of Eli's theme have samples with this song, but it is much higher.

  • What your talking about is the Main Theme, which comprises of 1/4 Eli and Oskar, 1/4 The Father, and most of all 1/2 Eli's theme. Just listen to The Main Theme and you'll know what i am talking about....

  • thanks for posting all of these tracks! Beautiful!!

  • I absolutley loved this movie :)

  • i'm crying about this movie.

    it is so beautiful

  • Let's stop comparing books with films please!!! It will be two different things.

  • Swedish films are the best ! <3

    Reallt love this movie

  • It's this kind of film which has made me realize how shallow most Hollywood movies are.

I'm paying a lot of attention to foreign films nowadays.

  • You're damn right! The other day I actually thought about what my top 5 favourite films would be and I realised they're all foreign films (including one british one). Hollywoods gotta up the game Im afraid if it ever wants its mantle back!

  • Yeah, Hollywood does have a lot of work to do in terms of story.

It seems nowadays that movies are tons of special effects and characters (and a storyline) made of cardboard.

In its defense, however, I do have to say that I was impressed by The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. I thought at first that it was a film geared more towards women, but when I saw it, I realized how alive the characters seemed. That's really what makes a movie great, not all this "all flash, no content" stuff.

  • And even that was based on the book which was written almost a century ago. I give Hollywood no credit for TCCOBB, as the book was already great.

  • @LittleDragon5

    i'm with you,..

foreing movies might not have good effect

but must of the time, movies of which you have never hear of before, turn to be great films!!

a lot (not all) of low budget movies have

great acting....this movie made me think a lot about what true love really is...

I couldn't stop thinking of this movie for days!!!! and now its on my top 10 movies ever

  • yes - Håkan is the wonderful Pedofile who haunts for Eli, "father" is for Oskars Father, and no - this is played (also maybe) when Oscar meets his FATHER....

  • ha..

  • omg theres a book i have to go out and get it :)

  • you should - it is amazing! so much deeper - when Eli kisses Oskar, he sees into Eli's mind and finds out how Eli became a vampire. I wont blow it for you.

    Enjoy!

  • Plus the film misses out so many key scenes that are mentioned in the book.

    Go and buy it!

  • like the one with håkan, at the end <3

  • when is this played in the film? I don't remember it, but I'm sure it's a scene with Hakan, right?

  • This is played after Eli kills Jocke (Jack), it's actually pronounce that way. They were arguing and when Oskar was listening, this piece was being played. Hope this helps..

  • thanks, grateful.

  • It's played when Oskar visits his father, hence the name. :)

  • Actually she´s not a girl you all know

    (At least Eli the vampire)

  • Let the right one in is probably the best movie i've seen in my life. Of you haven't seen it, you really should.

  • Anyone know a site with tabs or chords for this song ?

  • I'm searching this tab from 1 month but without results :((

I really really want that tabs of the song !!!

  • Someone will probably put tabs up soon :)

  • if you have bought OST of LTROI, Johan was telling his listeners that it was a waterbass parlophone something like that.

  • hmm yeah but someone with a good ear could make tabs for a guitar

  • I suppose so.

  • I went to the movie with a couple of friends, they thought it was ok but I just don't get how they can say that the movie was beyond great if you ask me :) It's one of those film where you get dragged into the mood of the film

  • I never realized how powerful the music was until listening to it without the visuals.

  • nice reminds me of the deerhunter theme/ just seen this movie and its very good

  • This theme appears to be a variation of Eli's Theme. They appear to blend at the end.

  • It is amazing that many wievers have thought that Oscar's Father is gay. Any Swedish person would just say that they are just friends and drinking buddies. Swedish society and Swedish culture are different from those of North-America and of many other European countries, this is way many people have seen and understood this parte of the movie in such a different way.

  • i thought that maybe he was kinda gay

  • I never would have thought that...I was really surprised when alot of people were saying that.

  • same i never thought he was gay

  • if i correct i believe the title is refering to Oskar's father, because they play this piece during the scene where his dad and gay lover? start drinking

  • in the book oskar´s father is not gay only alcoholic

  • not true, he is gay too

  • His dad isn't gay

  • Oskar's dad is not gay. Is it not mentioned in the book. Where did you get this information?

  • No its not, I just read the book, there is no hint that his dad is gay, just immature and drunk, a bit of a loser really, but NOT gay.

  • no its not in the book and he is not gay - he's a drunk and that bloke is also a drunk

  • The Father - Let the right one in

Where and how can i purchase this classical guitar (instrumental) of this? I like it, it;s smooth and soft. Please reply.

  • @mnlara You can purchase the soundtrack of this movie at screenarchivesdotcom website.

  • @Sweetmervs Just buy it from Amazon MP3 or iTunes. Much easier and cheaper.

  • @Thorpe Thank you.

  • @Sweetmervs ...if you like not owning a CD. ;)

  • @Thorpe I own the CD. At Screenarchives website, it is cheaper.

  • @Sweetmervs CD is cheaper to get on Amazon here, since I'm in the UK. Download also cheaper (£7.99). Not sure if that website distributes the digipak version either.

  • is the english translation of the book available electronically anywhere? torrent or otherwise? I'd really like to read the book

  • Why don't you just support the entire project and BUY the book.

  • i said torrent or OTHERWISE.. electronic doesn't necessarily mean pirated

  • please ..

if anybody knows how to play this on the guitar please tell me what the tabs

  • The book is worth reading as well.

  • The most tragic character is Håkan.

  • Yeah, more so in the book :(

  • you would not say this, if you have read the book. i read the book after watching the film. it givs many answears to the film.

the story behind hakan makes him a monster i think.

never a movie put me so close to tears like this one. i hope i can forgett it because its always in my mind

  • so Hakan was really his father? i thought hes just a vampire salve or somethin like that

  • no, hakan is a pedophile guy who is used by eli to feed her. Eli uses his disease for her advantage. in the movie this is not told...

  • oh, thanks, i dont think this book will be available in Hungary :(

  • perhaps but i dont know. its available in english of course.

  • He is not a slave.... He's job is a teacher.....Hakan is a pedophilia patient

  • But only in the book. There is no mention of this in the film.

  • Yes.. He is.

I think he's very annoying though, but at the same time, he's so sad..

  • This film is not a flaw.

    Music, directing, shooting, acting ....

Everything is perfect in this movie.

  • @bestfemaniac If this film is a piece of art, then why would director Matt Reeves remake this movie?

  • @Sweetmervs Because Americans don't like subtitles. It distracts them from the popcorn.

  • @walkabou5 Matt Reeves has already remade the movie, and it is already shown last Oct 1, 2010. I don;t know what to say about the remake.

  • @walkabou5 Lol, even I am American and I find this funny XD

  • @walkabou5 Or from the cinematography. Moron.

  • The whole soundtrack is flawless!

  • best piece from the movie.
