@omeddragon theres games on all platforms what people mean is the mainstream block busters, eagames, easports, codemasters, etc. i personally love my ubuntu.

All of it will eventually lead up to a very powerful OS that few (sadly) will get to know (yes the sub 2% users of linux included, but android became very successful, it might grow...).
This applies to design, those ideas big corps take, Software and Code, infinitely extensive hardware support and so on. That's the idea (well from my interpretation) behind this commercial.

@NikkoCumbiamba There are games developed for Linux (admittedly not many from the mainstream publishers). For games developed for the Windows API, there is a good chance you can play it using the WINE compatibility layer, especially if it's been out for a little while. Unless you are a bleeding edge gamer, Linux should work just fine for you :)

Finally, it is universities that are not teaching students to develop on Linux. F*ck universities! Even companies like IBM pays more attention to compatibility and standards.
Also, whats with this reenactment of history - anyone remember World War II where the Aryan Race viewed themselves as greater and then approved the extermination of all other races (aka: Windows, Android, OSX...etc.)

For games developed for the Windows API, there is a good chance you can play it using the WINE compatibility layer, especially if it's been out for a little while. Unless you are a bleeding edge gamer, Linux should work just fine for you :)
