If memeory serves me correct, seven of your founding fathers were born in Britain, but that is trivial compared to the fact that, until the USA became the USA, every single person in those colonies was de facto British. Hence Paul Revere's "the *regulars* are coming", not British.

While the British where still enjoping their monarchy and varius other colonies WE where busy seperating our selves from Britian and create our goverment own at the time unique government.
