i have a friend who works at Sandia Laboratories in NM under the nuclear division and its not classified or make believe, sci-fi, or TV like 24. Suitcase bombs are quite possible. A few HE's arranged hemispherically around a piece of plutonium 239 about the size of a "fun size" candybar would yield enough fallout and destruction to cause serious mayhem in a major city.
